Solid Meh from here, it's surely not a bad car, but nothing too special either. I'd still take one if it was given to me, but I'd never go out of my way for a chance to drive one. Strange Bangle looks are interesting though, as they often tend to be.

Looks have grown on me with age, especially the coupe. The kink in the line above the sill still jars a bit though. Meh.

Meh.

Not as good looking as the previous gen, and not much of a fan of this era of BMW's in general.

I mean, I like the crazy huge amount of engine and transmission options, and it's certainly not a bad looking car per se. Something about '00 era cars feels... off to me though. They don't seem to have the personality of older cars or the sharpness of newer ones. They just sort of... exist.

Maybe I just feel that way because everything else about that particular decade was so bland and forgettable. Meh.

89% of which are under or just adequately powerful enough for a sports car of its size and weight.
Eh. yeah. But for the vast majority of people who bought one, still likely more than enough. Most of the folks I've seen driving them in their heyday either looked like middle management or like they were having an affair with someone in middle management... hardly the track warrior type. :P

The entire Z4 ranged from meh to cool. At one end, the base spec cars are meh, at the other end, the Z4M Coupe is a very solid cool. With such a range, unfortunately, its rounded down to the lowest common denominator. Meh.

I gave it a meh, but, truth be told, if I ever thought about getting a Miata, I'd probably get this instead. And the only reason I would get a miata would be to build a shartkart.
Hmmmmmm......

The Z4 was in the same market segment than the Z3 was, and it came out when the Z3 was discontinued. How is it not a successor?

I'm not saying that it isn't a successor to the Z3. It is, but it's still a bit different car. You know, different design/looks, different engines, etc...

I mean, it's alright, but personally it's a bit boring to look at.
The M Coupe is not that bad though, and I imagne it's great to drive so I'll give it a low Cool overall
EDIT: Did not realize that the poll is closed, whoops
