I used to loathe this car. Until I started seeing one in black around my house. It really has a presence. It's not as "stately" as is looks in photos, that's for damn sure.

Sub zero idea that became cool at launch and now only sits around the meh region. Not sure why people buy them when there's so much available at the prices they go for. Also very popular where I live, but generally by complete a-holes. So meh it is.

How to make R8: Take Gallardo platform, put Audi's V8 in the middle and stretch TT body on it. Meh.

The R8 might not have the Ferrari/Lambo badge, but it is a modern day NSX IMO.

It brought mid-engined sports/super cars to an accessible level for the mere mortal driver - reliable, safe and exploitable handling & well built.

Under rated.
