I don't think you'll manage to turn an ordinary Chevy SS into a NASCAR. :P

It's a meh from me, its name lets itself down - at least they aren't selling it in Germany.

Yes I'm quite aware that you cant really convert a standard Chev SS into a full blown NASCAR (the same can be said for a lot of 'production' based race cars). But this is why I raised the issue of voting based on the fact that this car can be 'turned' into a NASCAR.
If we are voting based on what a certain car could be, then you could argue just about every car in the world could be modified/transformed into something cool.

It's pretty tame in comparison to it's Holden/Vauxhall performance cousins, but it looks better and more classy (to my eyes).

Cool, despite being a Chevrolet.

Seriously uncool. It's about as exciting as sitting in lukewarm water, it's associated with NASCAR, it's mostly Australian, and I'd imagine it's bought by people named Chad.

Not really. The Commodore SS this is based off of only has the L98 6.0L V8 rather than the (slightly detuned) LS3 this shares with the HSV Clubsport/Maloo R8 and similar. And I believe it can be optioned with most of the same bits as the HSVs including MRC.

Unless you're just talking about the aesthetics which...yeah I agree.

And while the [VXR8] GTS exists, that's a pretty far cry from even that above, which is reflected in its rather significant $30k-odd price hike.

Yeah I did mean aesthetically. The Holden/Vauxhall are very aggressive looking, they aren't ugly but the Chevy is much nicer.

Fair enough. The standard Commodore though is aesthetically identical to the SS minus the badge and probably wheel design.

Just like the SS, I like it. Would be interesting to get regular versions of the Commodore, badged as a Vauxhall, here in the UK. But it wouldn't sell.

It's the closest modern thing to my car, which makes it cool for me. It's also available in a manual transmission, also cool. Finally, people will think it's a normal chevy until you stomp on it and leave them behind, more cool points. However, it's still a pretty normal sedan with not much special about it so I'll go with a solid cool.

I wanted to give it a cool due to its sleeper status, but it's underpowered and too tame looking. Meh.

It's meh for not being something to excite most people on the streets. I like the understated look to it myself, but liking a car to me =/= cool. There's also not really anything to make it uncool. So yeah, it stays at meh for me.

I wish American manufacturers would stop trying to be the Germans. The SS wasn't even available with a stick until recently.

GM, we already have a Mercedes Benz. It's called Mercedes Benz. Be something different.

Probably being a bit cruel, but seriously uncool.

It's just a Holden Commodore guys, lets not pretend its special.

So is this the VXR8 equivalent?
That'd make it an easy cool. It might be for berks - but I don't care.

Big engined, heavy saloon cars... completely pointless in the same way as an E63/M5.

Meh.
