This is fairly anonymous at best (albeit on the better side of anonymous), except for the bits that are try-oh-so-hard, which just makes it worse because there is a legitimately handsome car hidden behind the eggcrate foglights and silly fake diffuser if they tweaked the details a bit (and not even handsome in the "this is incredibly bland but it's German so we'll say handsome instead" way like the Golf and A3).

Not a bad little Kia, but it looks like it's trying a bit too hard. And the name Pro Cee'd is kind of strange.

I give it a low cool. You don't go from making the Pride 25 years ago to making something on par with established European brands without a shed load of bravado and sheer determination. Nicking the guy from Audi was pretty cool in itself.

I almost played the "objectively cool/uncool" card til I reminded myself that it's an antiquated notion, so was going to go for Uncool, but actually going to go for a low Cool. Powerful nippy hot hatch from Kia, who knew? And for people who care about things, I think people would say ooh what is that? And would nod approvingly rather than laugh at the response.

Looks pretty nice, but unfortunately brought down by the badge and its associations, even as they have really upped their game recently. Meh.

I finally voted Cool on a Kia. And bloody well worth it. Damn, that design ain't bad. Also manual only? Improvements!
