Sub zero Because well It's Iconic and it's Has a Powerfull V6 TT And I Love the 80s American Styling Big Body Cars are awesome But i wish it would have the Chevy 350 or 305

It's not TT. It's a single turbo.

Why? That V6 was beating those V8's. Besides, if you wanted a coupe WITH a 350, you were looking at Chevy directly, namely the Camaro and Corvette, but the Monte Carlo had some nice options as well.

They made Buick 350s. Totally different from Chevy. The last year it was built though was 1980.

 I did not know that. Very interesting.

The only thing they share in common is the displacement. In fact he engine is actually wide enough that it's easily mistaken for a Buick 455 V8, as it's physically larger than a standard Chevy 350. This is because of it's extremely long stroke, and to achieve this stroke the block had to be physically larger to accomodate it, therefore making good low end torque. This is the same deal Ford did going from the 302 to the 351W (except the 340 was used in Buicks case along with a few others were the size had been increased before hand). It has a 3.850" stroke, which is the same as most factory big block engines (with a rare few outside of that). The bore is 3.8" though, when most engines were built with a 4" bore and a 3.5" stroke (like a Chevy 350) to attain the 350ci displacement. The bellhousing pattern is different as well. It's also much stronger as the block is made with a higher nickel content than others and it's known to be an extremely rugged engine. It's a similar type of deal with Ford's 351 Windsor and 351 Cleveland. Same displacement, 2 very different engines.

Cool. Love the styling, and it's one of those cars that is the right kind of impractical.

Definitely a cool car

Cool.

Classic style, mean little engine, and made by GM when they were willing to cross the line and try something new.

Whyyy?
So sexy. Mine rides and drives so smooth, good oldschool Carb/V8 power. Wouldn't own anything newer than about '86 though.

Pffft, that's how cars SHOULD look. ;)

Almost everything made by the American's in the 80's was horrible, and certainly all the more common sedans, some of which you bothered to post images.

Those photos just reminded me of how blah most things were back then. The GNX is an exception.

Driving one of these could make the world's biggest nancy boy look like a cold badass. SZ.

Basically, thus Sub-Zero for me as well.
