In my opinion:
No performance numbers what so ever.
Horendous looks.

Seriously uncool

Absolutely Sub-Zero

+Body shape makes for amazing looks
+Very unique look is sure to be noticed
+Smooth ride makes for a great cruise-mobile
+Makes people smile :)

Seriously uncool.

Lousy performance and I always thought these cars looked like armadillos.

i cant vote for some reason but its heres my opionion
i think this cool its so futuruistic i mean, in 55 compared to the cars of the day it would looked like a spaceship. its so futuristic that even 10 or 20 years later it still looks like it woud have been built in the 80s or 90s and thats why it lasted so long. thats also why its cool

If we go by performance numbers, the only cool car around is the Caterham R500.

Interesting, given that you voted the classic Mini Cooper cool, with it's one litre engine and barely 100mph top speed. Also interesting given that there are no actual performance figures on page one, only power and weight figures.

If you don't like the looks, or that it's French, or that it's not a V8 then go for it, but saying that it performs badly is both irrelevant in context and inconsistant with your previous votes.

The Mini is cool to me, this car not so much. Hence the vote. The Mini vote was for other reasons also.

Given the power and the weight of the car, added to the fact I can Google with the best of 'em to find the rest of the specs, I can conclude it has less than stellar performance, IMO.

Poorly performing cars that look like big metal armadillos are not cool to me, sorry.

Fair enough 👍

That's fair enough too - I'm not claiming myself that it's quick by any means, but it's worth remembering that it was essentially just a regular family car, and by the standards of the 1950s the performance was more than respectable.

Also fair enough - it's all opinion of course, but I do think that slating a 50+ year old family car for it's poor performance is perhaps missing the point a little ;)

Just to amplify your point a bit.

It still amazes me that people care if this thing even moves under its own power or not... it's almost subzero-cool based on looks alone! Once you consider the mechanics and era, it plunges to sub-zero. I mean, even the steering wheel is cool:

And the brake "button". Can't forget that! I love the location and style of the rear indicators too, at the end of the roofline:
