Cool.

Regardless of who had help in designing it or for what purpose, it's a very sexy-looking supercar made by a crazy French manufacturer.

Yup. Very exclusive if you have one. Because exactly zero were produced. All they have is a running showcar/prototype.

I agree, this car has not been or isn't currently in production, I'm struggling to understand why its been nominated for the cool wall at all.

Hiddeous.

At last something that does not look like a beetle. :)

New concept on the gears for this kind of power.
Crazy approach of design working with a game developer.

Sub-Zero,

price does not matter for me on this rating, but that last point was certainly the weakest on the whole.

However since they were producing it and stopped, also wonder what the vote here is about, just seems to be an opinion on a crazy concept.

They did start making one, but Citroen stopped production before it was finished. So technically, it did go into production, thereby making it a production car.

Sorry, but that just sounds like they started making it but didn't finish it.

How can it be a production car if none were actually produced ?

It's styling is too bizarre, and well, ugly. Maybe I will change my mind in a few years, but until then, uncool.

While technically, if you produce something, it's produced, a generally accepted definition of "production car" is that it is produced and offered for sale. If one is produced as a showcar only, then that's a concept car.

If the one that is built is just a showcar that (though it does have a big engine) isn't built to the same specs as the "production" car, then that's vaporware. :dopey:

But seriously... impressive machine. Probably even the prototype drives pretty well. But I don't like the styling at all.

Does anyone know if 6 of these cars ever got made? I need to know whether or not to give it an asterisk on my lap times board.

They canceled it in mid-2010. In fact, Jordan posted an article about it citing that the car wouldn't be profitable.

This should never have gone to a poll. Next week, the Nike ONE.

This was complete mental masturbation. It was not real; it was not produced and it has a pretentious name. GT by Citroen. If anything, why not just Citroen GT?

Check Youtube, one was produced but had a pretty murky-sounding engine, not sure what they dropped in there but I think they just wanted to make it a rolling rather than static prototype. That said, I like it, and I see a pic up there that looks like it was taken at the Goodwood hillclimb. Was aware it appeared there but didn't know it posted a time, so going to go look that up :)

I think one thing that could have got it a cool from me is just how ridiculous it looks, like something from outer space. If for some nonsensical reason someone attempted to remake The Wraith, this car would have to be a top candidate for the Turbo Interceptor.

When I nominated this, it was supposed to have a 6 car production, but Citroen canned it before they started.

A damn shame, it's a rolling sculpture, inside and out.

Concept cars are automatically uncool though...glad to see even then the cool wall wasn't going by the ideals of what the wall is based off of.

Just like the Dodge M4S used in the move actually. They went to all that effort of building a running, driving prototype, hiring Cosworth to crank up the engine and everything, when they never planned on series production of it. If built, it could have been, at the time (1981), the fastest car in the world, if not the straight up best car in the world, period. It would still have been so in 1986 when the move came out, though the Porsche 959 would have been giving it some stiff competition by that point.

The Citroen GT is the same way. It looks like it came from another galaxy, it's pretty much fully engineered, they could have built it, they should have built it, they just never did. Truly sad.

Just like the Jaguar C-X75...

I kinda wish they also built a real version on the racing version in GT5 and 6, and painted in a metallic version of Bleu de France. Mine in GT5 was painted like that.

I need to get that back...
