Morning geezers, i have come up with a new silly race for next week, just got to decide on cars and track.
I will be in a room today at 2pm UK time 09.00 Eastern to try my idea if some of you would care to join me.💡💡💡

For next weeks 30 lap Monaco tribute race it will be the Gran Turismo f1 car, tuned, fuel and tyres on Normal.

@PapaGnr has a room open for testing. There will be a qualifying period before the start. :lol::lol::lol:

Had the same problem here with error 80710B36 whatever that is, finally cleared for me around 5.30 pm.

Just to change the subject a bit (for a moment):
had some good hours of driving the Nürburgring Nordschleife Seasonal against Stewyripper and jotafduarte lately!
Thank you guys for your challenging company, not many geezers to be seen there, but I got some good fun out of offline-racing against you two there!
Over and over again... I can hardly believe how fast Stewyripper is, I guess I will never be able to beat you!?:bowdown:
With jotafduarte it's a bit easier, but not easy.
I first drove the Chaparral for a long time, but then I thought jotafduarte is fast with my beloved TS030 (which my countryman, Alex Wurz, is driving at WEC), and I had to find out that one can be quicker with the Toyota than with the Chaparral! Finally I am currently only 0,3xx seconds behind jotafduarte, and I will try to close that gap! :D
The only problems with the Toyota (at least in GT6) are:
1.) you don't get 630 PP's out of this car, only 623, and
2.) you have to drive qualifying style in the curves and bends all the time, since the Toyota is by far quicker in the turns, but you have to gain a lot of time there, because in the 2 flat-out passages (especially the endless long straight before Finish), you lose a lot of the time again that you have gained before in the curves! On the last straight, the Toyota "only" makes 311 km/h (~193,25 mph) while the Chaparral blows away with 340 km/h (~211,25 mph).
Any of you two, Stewyripper and jotafduarte care to share your setups, especially the gearboxes?

And of course, to bore you a bit, I have recorded my best times with both cars.

Hello geezers only a few days to go until Saturday.
First race will be a ten lapper in the VW Beetle 1966 you may tune it to your hearts content, don't forget the oil change.
Second race will be the 30 lapper in the formula gran turismo. fully tuned etc with fuel rate set to normal.
Last race will be a 10 lapper in the beetle as above but you can only overtake the car in front after you cause it to spin out, apart from that there are no rules.
All the above races will take place at Monaco, so passports at the ready.:sly::):):)

Looking forward to it Stewy. :) Those of us using the DFGT,, getting around that hairpin - WHEW :nervous:!! I'm guessing all of you have the very same problems I do,, your arms get tangled up trying to hold speed,, upshift mid corner and not do a 180 :banghead:,, WOW! Considering how tight this track is, that crazy hairpin,, the chicane at the bottom of the hill :eek: and that right hand 90 degree turn just before pit lane - yeppers - we ALL have to be careful to NOT lose it and spin a 180 there! :nervous: :banghead:,, it will be a fun one indeed. 👍👍 :bowdown:

Ohh, almost forgot - you "might" consider dropping the horsepower abit,, I cut back to 860hp (I think - will dbl check and edit if this is not right) and that really helps keep the wheel spin in check.

A tidbit of info for you Jimee, once you're on Stewy and PapaGNR's FL (friends list) be sure to get their club house ID numbers so you can join in on the practice as well as the race events they've set up. 👍👍

Fellas / WhoosierGirl,, I apologize if I seem to have gone of my rocker, burzerk (sp), er just plain NUTS but,,, I HAVE!!

No,, I'm not quick nor am I placing all that well in the ACADEMY events,, but that doesn't deter my zeal for trying to improve. I really, really like 'em alot,, I mean - ALOT!! Event #1 in the Nissan at SilverStone was tough, I mean real tough but a very few of the GEEZERS really nailed some doggoned sweet laps (STEWY, JOTA, SW_10, just to name a few), #2 in the NISMO GT at BRANDS was even more challenging and the same GEEZERS + Nordschlief gripped the track, slammed the GO pedal to the floor and rotated the Earth backward with their blistering laps,, now ACADEMY #3 at SPA in the NEW LMP and again these guys are literally kick'n that beloved track straight with their sweet, sweet lap times. We slower but no less intense GT fans are so happy and proud these drivers are showing the WORLD a few GEEZERs can really PLAY THIS GAME WELL!

Just this eve I'm taking a look at GTP NEWS and on reading this most recent post,, this ol heart skipped a few beats. If you're as crazy about the ACADEMY events as am I and IF you've not seen this,, you jus gotta check it out!!

I clicked the video link and OMG - put your headsets on and crank 'er up boys n girls!! I had to smile and choke back the excitement as I listened to this video and thought,, that music is so absolutely appropriate! Then I noticed the YouTube logo and just hadda click it: there's a bunch more about the new hot rod we'll see for the final ACADEMY run. Having not quite yet been completely and utterly enthralled by the sound of that LMP,, scrolling down the right side of the YouTube screen I hadda watch and listen to a couple of TSO40's dash around SPA:

An advance warning to all geezers taking part in Saturday races, Saturday 30/05/2015 we will be using the cars won on the Seasonals published today.
You may do oil changes but we may run stock setups except for the golf which you can tune to the max if you require.
I will decide on tracks later today and post here.
Gone off now to think up something really terrible for silly car race. :crazy::crazy::crazy:

Not sure what happened. Both the original links and the links in your quote yield an image on my tablet. I did delete & uploaded an updated Chaparral tune, might you have been a victim of bad timing?
