To clarify further, @geezer1791 has a list of all the members of the Geezer Club. We are all on his "Friends" list. So he can see all of our times directly when he logs into any particular time trial. If you want to see everyone's times you just need to add the rest of the Geezer Club to your Friends list!

In regard to the second part, yeah, to see everyone's specific rank, you need to scroll thru all the rankings (as @SCClockDr says, maybe eventually PD will help us with this), as you mention, this is quite time-consuming, so I think that @geezer1791 only scrolls thru the first three places on the podium to find the top three Geezer drivers. He could scroll down further, but then he wouldn't have time to drive any of the cars!;)

See you on the tracks!

Thanks for your additional assistance here!
2 (more) questions remaining:
1.) Where (on the PC) I can find a rank-list of all my friends in the friends list? You have any particular link(URL?
The only list I can get to is only covering the top 250 Drivers like here:
https://www.gran-turismo.com/gb/gt6/user/#!/event/146/1000871/

2.) He also offers a statistic how many geezers have achieved Gold and the like, so I don't think he just checks the top 3 geezers!?

I'm un-aware of any way to see a rank list of your friends via the internet. At the moment, I think that the only way to see your "friends" rankings is to scroll down thru the entire list within a specific time trial, until you get to your friends name.

For your second question, since @geezer1791 can see everyone's time, he can tell from this if anyone has gotten Gold or Silver since he knows what the specific Gold/Silver time is from the first page of each time trial.

For example, in Round Four of the current GT Academy time trial, the Gold time is 3:37.000.

Currently, my best lap so far is a 3:31.325 , so @geezer1791 knows that I have achieved Gold in the GT Academy TT if he checks the rankings on his Friends list.

I would think Geez scrolls to the 500th place and notes the time and does the same for the 1000th place, or the gold place time. He then counts the geezers above each time and can produce a percentage or a number. As you know scrolling through the list is not done quickly. To do this for each event likely takes quite some time and he really is to be commended for his effort.

Thanks Geezer! P Mallard

Hello geezers there will only be one race this Saturday {sensible one that is} planning 100 laps in the
Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe.
Fully tuned any tyres.
Track will be either Daytona speedway, Indianapolis speedway or Twin ring Motegi Super speedway.
A vote will be held on which track to use.:)

Practice rooms are open, Daytona and Indy reduced to 60 laps each = same distance as Motegi speedway 100 laps.
Enjoy :):):)

Room will be open tomorrow at 13.30 UK time 08.00 EST, racing will start after the track vote at about 14.15 bit of time for practice.:):):)

For the silly race it will be the ford ka at a secret track so secret in fact i don't even know where it is. HAHA:):):)

This is done simply by comparing the Geezers' times to the Gold requirement.

Thanks again, Doc!:bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:
Last question (I promise):
How do you (if at all) get from this side ALL the rankings?
I only get the top 250, and after that, it's finished!
That is the limit as you have pointed out. As I read @geezer1791 he only scrolls the in-game leaderboard (PS3) for the podium and maybe a couple of close finishers. The top 100 is available on both platforms. The top 1000 is available only on the PS3 with 989 down button pushes to get there unless one finishes better than 1890th. There is no magic I'm afraid. The ability to page down or goto #### would be a great improvement.

Yeah, button pushing is the only way as far as I know at the moment.

Just for fun, back in some of the earlier Seasonal Time Trial's, I was trying to keep track of three things:

1) My best lap time
2) Gold lap time drivers
3) Total drivers attempting the TT

So, since I have three main GT6 games, I would use my GTsail2 game to run my fast TT laps, I would use my GTsail9 game to run a lap time as close to the exact Gold lap time as I could get, and I would use my GTsail3 game to run a very slow lap, usually never leaving first gear!

It is hard to get close to the exact Gold lap time, but it was important to get very, very close (within a tenth of a second) because otherwise I would have to scroll and button push too much.:yuck: So, I would run a lap about 1/2 second slower than Gold, and then re-run laps trying to go just a little faster a tenth or so with each subsequent attempt.:dopey:

Interestingly, I was finding that the exact Gold lap time was a very popular time. I would usually find that there were about 20 drivers who had the exact Gold lap time. Sometimes as many as 25 drivers would have this same lap time.

See you on the tracks!

For the silly race it will be the ford ka at Matterhorn short 20 laps fully tuned win at all costs, we will run this first to warm up for the main event. Total distance is only 9.6 miles for the whole event, so you need to be fast or dirty or both.:lol::lol:

As a follow-up to my post # 2171 above, I just entered the current Seasonal Time Trial at Big Willow with my Shelby Daytona Cobra using my GTsail9 game.

The Gold time is 1:16.000

So I ran about 10 laps trying to get as close to this time (but slower).:mischievous:

After about 10 laps I was able to run a 1:16.067 lap which placed me 26095 on the Leaderboard.

So I then checked the world rankings within the game and saw that there were 40 drivers who had the exact Gold time of 1:16.000:eek:👍 These drivers were ranked from place # 25865 to place # 25904, so I only had to scroll about 195 places to find them.:D

Update:
------------
Just for fun, I decided to enter my GTsail3 game into the above Seasonal Time Trial, to check out the Silver time.

The Silver time is 1:18.000

After about 10 laps, I was able to run a 1:18.064 lap which placed me 37439 on the Leaderboard.

So I then checked the world rankings within the game and saw that there were only 8 drivers who had the exact Silver time of 1:18.000👍 These drivers were ranked from place # 37209 to # 37216, so I had to scroll about 220 places to find them.:D

I guess the exact silver time is less popular. I guess that most drivers who hit this time, don't make it their last lap, but continue on trying to achieve faster times.

2nd update:
---------------
This morning I decided to check out the Bronze time, so I entered my GTsail8 game into this Seasonal Time Trial.

The Bronze time is 1:26.000

After about 10 laps, I was able to run a 1:25.962 lap which placed me 50831 on the Leaderboard, and just won me the Bronze trophy.:) I had previously, just run a 1:26.086 lap, and I tried to beat it just a little, but over-shot and won the Bronze trophy.:ill:

So I then checked the world rankings within the game and saw that there were no drivers who had the exact Bronze time of 1:26.000. There was a driver in 50850th place who had a time of 1:25.999, and there was a driver in 50851st place with a time of 1:26.008, but no drivers with the exact Bronze time.

Overall, there are 51274 drivers who have attempted this Seasonal Time Trial (though this number is constantly changing since the Seasonal is still active), and the slowest driver has a time of 10:42.527:eek:

See you on the tracks!

Room open
Great morning of racing Stewy, and congratulations on a well run win. Papa and I were a distant 2nd and 3rd. Just couldn't make a meaningful dent in your lead. Also a big thank you to WG for getting all us Geezers up to speed on Daytona tunes. I can now see all us Geezers running in a big gaggle around Daytona - what a sight to see!

P Mallard

Many thanks to all who raced today and made it what it was, EXCELLENT.
Special thanks to WG for all the tuning tips at Daytona, can see this popping up again soon.
Next week it will be as follows.
Race 1 Laguna Seca with the Viper gts 02

race 2 Trial mountain with the Tamora

Race 3 London with the Mazda Cosmo sport 97

I will have a room open tomorrow at 09.00 EST to decide on laps and tuning etc, if anyone wants to join in you are welcome.:cheers::cheers:

Fellas,, I just have to share THIS,, for ME :),, quite exciting tidbit of PSN info I stumbled upon in the Academy message string.
I can't tell you how many times I wished I could compete with ONLY MYSELF in the TT's instead of either completely switching off ALL the lines or trying to see around and through way too many of them. No, I've not yet given this a try but can hop back to this post and confirm whether it actually works,, 👍 👎 (thumbs UP or thmbs DOWN to be edited after a try)!!

Wouldn't the trouble with doing that technique mean that PSN wouldn't be able to record your lap time? Might be great for practice, though, but you'd have to sign in and run it again to make a good time count, I would think.

Hi guys,, as usual I did not read AND FULLY COMPREHEND that post,, got too xcited I think, and YES, you and Fireball are rite on,, that works for offline but for running a lap ONLINE and when it really counts we're still stuck with as I see it one of 3 options,,, 1) switch them OFF, 2) toggle between ON / OFF mid lap (which is a huge distraction when you're trying to see where you are in the melee, or 3) dump all your friends - NOT an option. Ohh well, it is what it is I guess.

@Daduce1947 logging out as you load into the TT works, I have been doing it for years. I have a post somewhere about how to do it, as long as you don't change the ghost you are following your time will register when you log back in.

You can go to car setup and change driver optons just don't leave the TT or change ghosts. When your finished just register your time when the screen comes up.

Morning geezers, here are the tracks and cars for next weekend.

Race 1 Laguna Seca with the Viper gts 02, HP restricted to 720 - and pp restricted to 602, aero allowed. 15 laps.

race 2 Trial mountain with the Tamora, unrestricted, aero allowed, 15 laps.

Race 3 London with the Mazda Cosmo sport 97, stock only, free tyre choice. 20 laps fuel and tyres on very fast but you will have to watch your tyres as there are no pits. fuel will last without any problems.

I will go and organize rooms now for practice, ENJOY.:):):)

Ok geezers practice rooms are open now.

I'm not sure if what you call "dumping all friends" really means that you will completely lose them and may have to send Friendship-Requets later again.
I just tried it on the PS3,and the option is "delete", so you would lose that particular friend indeed. But in the very back of my old brain there is a faded memory of an alternative possibility, but I just can't remember where I have come across that.
So meanwhile the only possibility seems to be to switch all the blue lines off... and to my surprise I had to find out that most of the times i'm quicker without those ghost-lines covering my street all over!
The funny thing is, that at this particular race @ Le Mans, in the beginning I only saw the ghost-line of 1 friend, meanwhile I see 2, even though there are 6-8 other friends in my friends ranking list, I just don't see their ghost-lines, dunno why.
And furthermore, I also wonder how long it will take unti that crap-car's Force Feedback will have ruined my steering wheel. I don't think PD will pay the bill?
And the car itself... what a garbage! If the real car will feel and drive like the GT6-version, I wish the guys who will have to drive it @ Le Mans this weekend good luck! But they may need more than good luck, because I consider it difficult to drive a car 24 hours around @ Le Mans competitively when it doesn't have brakes (feels like they have built in the drum-brakes I had in my old Ford Escort 1300 GT from 1971)!

WOW!! Thank you WG for this tip . I clicked your name, found that you have 477 posts :scared:, not knowing how long it would take me I started reviewing each, page by page at midnight and finally, finally, finally at around 6am this morning I FOUND YOUR post as well as a post by Sidebrowns on the Lexus CCR TT at NBRing message string that led me to a YouTube video prepared and uploaded by TidgneyRacing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=15&v=8wlSJvGPG5k that explains the HOW TO very well. Now I'm going to do my best to try and learn how to do this - my skills are very much lacking finesse' but we're going to learn how to do this because for me, having my best lap ghost to follow or get around is most helpful.
**Guys, one really good thing - a serendipity if you will - I gained by chasing WhoosierGirl's messages, I found quite a few GR8 tuning tips she has shared in a number of other message strings.

EDIT note: Well, I'm not going to give up because WG says it can be done,, but I am trying to follow the notes per the TigdneyRacing video, but after signing OFF just after the Academy final opens I am taken back to the sign in page and am told I cannot enter the race unless I am signed in. i know I must be doing something wrong,,, ?? As I mentioned earlier, this old GEEZER isn't all that savvy so we'll give this a rest for now.....

Thanks Ema, appreciate the feedback partner but for me,, I really do like that car, I like this event and the FB issue "can" be worked around to a point if you toggle your FFB settings down just a bit. On my DFGT I have to set the Controller Sensitivity, Feedback Max Torque and Feedback Sensitivity to 3's,, that helps the wheel shaking alot. Yes, it's still there but very much reduced with these settings.

Earlier, I noticed the same thing, but I asked one of my fast friends whose blue-line was missing, and he said that for the GT Academy time trial, you can only see the blue-lines of your friends that are within your Region. The blue-lines for any friends outside your Region don't get shown for the GT Academy TT's:)

I like this change because it eliminates about half of the blue-lines that I normally see.

This is from memory so forgive me if I miss any steps :)

Go to the GT Academy icon and press enter, this is the same if you were to go to the Seasonal Events Icon. I have done this on both the GT Academy and Seasonal events and it works the same for each one.

Pick which Academy round or Seasonal event you want and press enter, the sign up screen comes up.

Press Sign-up and immediately press the PS button on you DS3, a flag will pass the screen showing the event (example GT Academy) then another flag showing the track.

This is the important step VVVVVV
When you press the PS button it will come up to Account Management, hit the arrow up button and then Sign out as the second flag has passes by the screen. If you Sign out before the second flag a Disconnect message will pop up followed by a registration failed message, it will still work if you get these. I just like to do it without getting these messages to make sure everything works correctly.

Now you are in the TT menu and you can go to the tuning and driver options between laps and the only thing you can't do is change you ghost. Changing your ghost will wipe your fastest lap away and nothing will register.

When you are finished and are happy with your lap log back into the PSN network while your still loaded into an active lap, once you are back online you can back out and the time will register just as normal.

It sounds hard to do but, it is easy once you have done it a few times, I hope this helps :)

Is my "happy"-lap then recorded only online or is it also stored in my game (in order to later view a replay or load it as a ghost)?
