Rules:

You must drive the same car for the whole season that you started with. IF you decide to change cars you will forfeit all your points in the championship from the previous car / team

No ramming or bashing of other cars is allowed. All Drivers are expected to to read and follow GTP's Online Racing Rules

Cutting chicanes & corners is not allowed. 2 Wheels must remain on the track.

Overtaking: clean overtaking is the responsibility of everyone on track. Any racing incidents that happen as a result of poor overtaking, the overtaker may be held responsible and penalized. * If the defender is found braking excessively early to defend or to cause an incident they will be penalized.

**You are NOT allowed to overtake if order to make the pass its necessary to have wheels off the track in the grass or outside the white line boundaries.
EXAMPLE: At La Sarthe in the run from Muslanne to Indianapolis, if you have to cut across the grass in order to get by a driver while racing for position then you should not be overtaking. Or at Daytona trying to go two wide on between the turn 1 exit and turn 2.
This will be considered an illegal overtake & reckless driving which will be penalized

Track Position: If you gain a position by cutting a corner or pushing another driver off the track you must immediately allow that other person to pass you and give back that position back.

Blocking: Drivers are allowed one change of direction on a straight to defend. Its not considered a block if a car stays on its racing line while in a turn

Lapped Drivers: Back markers must yield faster traffic at the first safest opportunity. Lapped do not have to pull off the track to allow lead drivers by. Always allow faster lead cars to pass freely on straights.
Lead Drivers are not allowed to ram, push, or spin back markers off the track to get by - overtaking rules are still in effect.

Bump Drafting: NASCAR style bump drafting is not allowed. (really - do i have to mention this .......:boggled: )

Pit Lane: You must you the proper pit lane entry & exit section of the track. You must also slow down before entering the pit lane. (tracks like laguna you cannot enter the pits @ race speed) Drivers are not allowed to cross pit exit line when re-entering the track.

Race Incident reporting: To report a race incident (or a suspected incident) after the race post info on what happened and what lap in happened on in the group under the Incidents thread. You must give a lap or a time of when the incident happened.

Driver reputation system:
Each driver is going to start the season with 20 points next to their name.
You will lose points for causing race incidents / accidents and poor driving.
This system should help distinguish the clean drivers / from the not so clean drivers.
Any driver who receives multiple complaints from other drivers or is given a warning or a penalty will lose rep points.

Examples
* Knocking another driver off the track and causing them to lose their position -2 pts
* Knocking a driver off the track and causing them damage - forcing them to lose more than 1 position - 4 pts
* Getting caught cutting corners - 2 pts
* Cutting a corner to gain a position - 2 pts
* Passing on the rolling start before the start line - 2 pts
* Any other rule breaking & insistences not mentioned - 1 to 4 pts

Penalties: Race incidents will be viewed by the stewards and penalties will be assess afterwards.
* 10 second time added

* 15 second time added

* Drive thru penalty time added ( Not including stop time )

* 10 Second Stop & go penalty

* Loss of points

* Forfeited race position

* Disqualified from race results

* 5-10 Place grid penalty for next race ( next race driver participates )

Team Orders: If you hear "Alonso is faster than U" .... Then tell your race engineer to stfu and if Alonso wants to get by he can pass you like everyone else :lol:

Qualifying:

There is two stage qualifying for the series.
1: Room Lobby / Lounge will be open qualifying to post your fastest time. This will
determine your grid position for the qualifying race.
2: THEN After open qualifying there will be a 2-3 Lap Qualifying Race. (Short Tracks will be 3 laps - Long 2 )
* Qualifying Race will have a grid start

Racing:

Pace Lap: 1 lap will be added to the race distance for a formation pace lap. After qualifying drivers will be called one by one to exit the pit in the order they finished. The first driver will stop 100m after they exit the pit and everyone will line up behind them in order. DO NOT pass the driver in front of you. After everyone is out of the Pits the Race will be started.

Drivers will line up in a single File. A minimum of 3 car lengths must be between cars. You are not allowed to pass the the bumper of the car in front of you.

The Formation Lap speed limit is 100 kph / 60 mph
*Stay in your qualifying order
*Do not hit other cars or exceed the speed limit

Rolling Start: When pole driver turns onto the pit straight the race will go green flag once 100m from start/finish line. ((This point will be clarified before each race.)) No Passing is allowed until crossing the start finished line. Drivers will be penalized for false starts and illegal passing.

Pit Lane is closed during the pace lap. Drivers who enter the pits will recieve a penalty

3 Points - If you get disconnected during the Main Race ( Rage quits get nothing / parking for most of the race get nothing / if you park for 5 - 10 mins to go eat or something and finish the race you will receive the regular points )

Bonus points will replace the finishing race bonus points. This also makes it impossible for one that shows up for a race to get 0 points.

Team Championship

No Team Championship

You must drive the same car for the whole season that you started with. IF you decide to change cars you will forfeit all your points in the championship from the previous car / team

3. jakegirard - Toyota GT-One/ Peugeot 908 - have to decide.

Practice later?

Considering that there is a strict limit to 3 cars of each type, you guys need to pick a car before putting your name on the sign up list. 👍

1. BermudaKID - Speed 8
2. ALLInWitJT - Speed 8
3. MikeTheHockeyFan - Speed 8

That's why you see no # next to my name. Also, if the DLC Jag is any better than the standard version I might just try to use it.

Please post a link to the LMS tuning garage. I'm rusty and sure you all of some new fangled techniques

Pretty sure its in the OP... once I get on a computer I'll repost though.

Edit: Im with Seth, hope the new Jag is worth something.

Surely the specs won't be any different on the premium Jag than the standard.

Unless they do something very weird and artificially change them just to d**k around.

There has to be a good reason they decided to convert it to a premium. I hope to improve it since its so bad now. Otherwise they should of done a more desired car like the r18, or hell even an r8.

Might have simply been that they were taking the detailed measurements on the car during late GT5 development and got it finished and in-game after the initial release.

Are there any examples out there of previously-standard cars getting a spec bump once they were rendered in premium?

We'll find out with the 'new' Jag. I'm sure it should drive as well as other group c's in game. Making it premium before the GT ONE must mean something! That's what I feel at least. Why turn the Jag premium before one of Japan's most loved Toyota? There has to be an improvement on the way it's represented in game, driving wise.

4 bucks for the high speed test course.... No thanks. Car dlc id ok though... Vantage, premium jag, and aventador would be fun to play with.

Dibs if so.

dibs on being stabbed? lolol
I get first dibs on any new Audi if we ever get one.

Not buying the high speed track either.....lol I guess we cant race there. I Wish the PD would do some meaningful cars. Turn 10 pumps those track packs out like clockwork to get peoples money!

I cant imagine the new premium jag being bad..... :scared:
Going through that work to make it a premium it has to be better than what it is now. Has to be!
The premium LMPs are all race cars that did amazing things in their day. R10 , 787b, 908.
The Jag though?!?!?!? Here is to hoping we dont get another R10.

You can confirm me for GT One for both series, gonna be fun. I think my usual tune actually kinda blows for this car though, I might have to go outside the box.

I tried the GT-One earlier, it drove pretty well. Might join you with that. All depends on the regs though. I think the HP should be dropped to around 600 so we have better tire life.
