Anybody feeling hardcore? How about running a LIVE, ONLINE 24 Hours of Le Mans? Here's how it would work...
Get yourself and a few of your boys together and make a team. Submit your interest in this thread, and we'll hopefully get a few entries. Once we've got at least, say, four teams we'll nail a date and run it on an online time trial. The nitty-gritty (such as qualifying and organising the session itself) will be worked out in full (since it's all at the fleshing-out stage) when we have enough teams. But, I've looked at the details, and I think this race can be done.
So, who's in? Perhaps we can get GTP sanctioned prizes? Think how fantastic it would be to finally have our own, online 24 Hours of Le Mans. Come on! I know you want-in!

Team Name: Team GS
Drivers: Danisfast + 3
Car: No. 4 Peugeot Oreca/Matmut 908 HDi
Location: UK
Typical Broadband Speed/Reliability: Generally steady, but not 100% reliable. 1mb up/4mb down. Can host but would have low/moderate risk of drop-out.
Please note that the rules are still being fleshed-out. But so far, we have...
No more than four different drivers throughout the race.
Qualifying is the fastest laps by any driver within a team.
Races may be split depending on amount of interest and locations of teams.
Cars are likely to be balanced-out to enable close performance.
Please choose from Prototype/GT1 (old)/Class C, and GT1 (modern).
If your connection drops out, you must document your lap number and re-connect. If you can't remember what lap you were on, we'll guestimate and then deduct five laps.
Damage will be on, and likely to be sensitive (and the physics will be sim).
No clutches. Usual WRS rules (although cut corners will be tolerated provided time is lost either in the act or recovery).
For this to work properly, we'll likely need a bit of integrity and communication between the teams. If this doesn't fit your personality (or anyone on your team), then you need not apply.
