Thanks for that. I will have to to the same with my second hand mic :)

Going to do the GP tracks (and Spa) with B and C class cars and the Ring with a class D đź‘Ť

Hmm, gonna be interesting.
Great choice.;)
Gonna DUI, though.:guilty::scared:

What happened to Nordshleife? dont really know this track, could not choose Nissan Aero S15, or any legends D-class car. Go ahead without me, don't know the track, cannot use the cars I want to for some reason.

Just saw the post above, missed it before joining (computer is in another room), I guess you did B & C first at GP courses.

Damn NFS S2U just froze and now my user data is trashed, I have a backup from a couple of days ago, but will have to re-add as friend again to join.

Thanks, I'll try again some other time.

No problem Jogo. I noticed your signal strenght got worse as we raced. hope you sort things out soon.

Good racing with fatkrakr and arvore tonight. I have never seen a Class C as fast as arvore's Shelby. That car is unbeatable...arvore I really dont want to know what you can do with that car when you are sober :lol:

Fatkrakr you and I had a close one on the Ring. I closed in but could not match your speed on the long straights. You have a neat setup with the GTI, nice and stabile through the SS's. We must really race that one again.

Sorry I had to leave so quick, but there was a RL car accident just outside my house. Guy smashed his brand new Astra into a lampole. Dont worry the lampole is okay :lol::lol:

Lol. Good to know the lampole is ok!

Damnit...I really wanted to race with yall. Damn time zones suck. Kids woke up 15mins before race time, and wife was still out shopping. Oh well...next time.

Yeah I was trying out some cars and that one seemed to be fast.
Nice races guys sorry for the talking, I was expecting more people though.

Managed to restore from backup I made two days ago, NFS S2U crashed when I opened AutoLog.

Did not really lose any Car/Race data because I had not saved anything in last 2 days.

But lost friend's list. Will have to ask you to add me again or invite again.

Tweaked the Router's settings too in case that was a factor, still cannot figure out the USB headset issue, Ill try bluetooth instead.

Bummed I missed the Nords race, If I get time to practice tonight maybe I'll try to tag along for Legends tomorrow, don't know about the GT40 race though, but I'll try the tunes you posted on the Legends thread.

Not quite racing but any of you guys trying to get the king of the hill trophy? Theres a way to do it with 2 players if they have 5psn accounts on their ps3. Drop me a pm if you are interested.

Sorry guys couldn't make it last night , due to a combination of chilled John Smiths , and the wife wanting to watch the telly downstairs .

I'll be there tonight though . How did the mic initiation go last night Zeeco

Now muso this mic thing is a bit of a sore point. As you know I got the hand me down from my two boys. I was all excited to get going last night BUT could not get to work. So I called my youngest to help me. He could not get it to work but " hold on Dad, I will call my brother". So brother comes and was not very helpful. " Dad I dont think it's gonna work"......mmmm "why not"?......"because it's broken".

WTF...the two of them wanted a COD mic so badly, they saw their chance yesterday morning and kept quiet broken mic :)

:lol: now thats what i call using their initiative , they saw an opportunity and took it , nothing wrong with that
But that still leaves you with no mic , i wouldn't care i could have sent you an official ps3 mic , but i gave it to one of my grandchildren . Ha , yeah i know , i'm an old fart đź‘Ť

im up for some clean racing. i dont have some friends on my list that play that are great to race with but hard to catch them sometimes. i find myself in rooms winning then im flying through the air cause i got hit by a bugatti running mach 5 in to the turn. im up for any racing. my ps3 id is ICEMAN0151

add me and if we are on at the same time send me an invite

in the friends request just put gtp in the body and i will know who it is

If he never used the mic with the PS3 before, he should go to sound settings menu( in the XMB before starting the game) and select the mic as audio in and out for it to work.

I discovered something about configuring microphones for PS3. You have to go to Settings/Accessory Settings/Audio Device Settings, not Settings/Sound Settings, providing the microphone is USB or Analog.

In the event it is BT your first stop will be in Settings/Accessory Settings/Manage Bluetooth Devices where you pair it to the PS3 and then you go to Settings/Accessory Settings/Audio Device Settings to configure it as an input device.

Yeah, I forgot to mention the pairing part, sorry, but thought it was kind of obvious though.

No prob, first headset I tried was USB, could not figure out why it did not show up in Settings/Sound.

I was in wrong place, fiddled with it today while you guys were racing and figured it out, was not referring to BT earlier, just wanted to point out that BT needs an extra step.

Its all good, we're just trying to help each other out.

Tomoro I ll probably be online from 10-11pm CET. Will have inserted 1 or 2 beers with some old pals, though.

At least I finally had the chance to repair my completely garbage Aston GT3 tune with T12s tune and some tweaking. Now I found a thing again that this car had completely forgotten about: Front end grip! Jehova!

I should be online tomorrow but I'll avoid the scotch :D

Care to share the tune? I'm asking because T-12 tune for the GT3 Aston is a problem because its a tail happy car... You seem to have the opposite complaint (before tweaking that is). I'd like to test it.

Now, I'll meditate on this subject because sometimes I think I'm not driving the cars as they should. Better done with a drum of Balvenie

Sorry Rommie, I erased the front end grip-free tune because, quite frankly, it was horrible. If you want to try it, tune all the front suspension 1-2 points harder/stiffer than the rear. That together with some misplaced cambers does the trick, but be advised that your Astons front end will be all over the place. Like a MP4-12c with cold tires but all of the time.

Rather stick to T12s tune, increase the LSD for the rear a bit and add rear downforce. Thats what I did, plus adjusting steering lock and I quite like it.

You could also test some other ones, if the Aston is too tail happy for your liking. The R8 can be tuned to be quite stable, if I remember correctly. Same with the Z4, that car is really controllable in stock tune already. I just lowered the tire pressure and increased steering lock and its quite nice... And normally, as a guy from Stuttgart, you wouldnt catch me alive saying something positive like that about a bavariamobile! :D

Thanks anyway mate. I think the "problem" (its a good thing actually) is that they're so different it takes time to adjust while changing between races. But they're all good I guess.

Same in the GT1 class.

Just wanted to congratulate everyone who joined last night-some of us until morning :scared: - for the great fun and quality racing we had!

Was a blast. Sorry had to duck out before anyone else. It wa nice to play with some folks that I dont get to race with often due to timezones.

Can I join up with some of you to do online racing? Who should I send a friend request to? I presume this is for PS3...

PS3, yes.

Just sent invites. Just make sure you will do everything in your power to race clean and fair. Otherwise i'll call my Welsh friends
