Weather at the beginning of practice will be 50% weather, 50% wetness, 3 changeability. The track will be reset before qualifying and before the race using the closest settings possible so that the weather doesn't loop.

I'm interested in seeing the incident report from Madrid. Only God will know how I didn't get caught up in anything...

Well not only did I have a very frustrating race (crashing on the last lap), but when I came upstairs to cool off (watch the ALMS I recorded), someone in my household stopped the recording! Sometimes I wonder if motor-sports hate me. 🤬 Anyhow, photo gallery will be up when I find time to compile it.

EDIT: Lancer, I personally think it would be for the better if you would post the weather settings in the OP for both qualifying and the race. I thought it was supposed to pour all race according to you but it turn out it was the opposite. It's your decision however. Time to start testing for Monza! One of my favorite tracks.

It was fun, have raced a few times with 100% wet at Nurb albeit in a GT300 MR-S not a GT500.. And it showed lap 1 I made such a rookie error and caused myself damage, which I carried until the end of lap 3.

I pitted part to get rid of the damage and for Inters, then lap 5 I slide wide and get slight damage on my left front.. I deal with it a lap until my TV flashes up a countdown timer for eco mode, which completely blocks my screen. That caused me to go off while grabbing for the remote, luckly it evened out the damage with both front wheels damaged..

So I continue with it for another 2 laps and pit earlier than planned for RMs (slicks) at 45% wet, I knew this was not the smartest idea but I wanted rid of the damage. I managed to control the skating around on the first lap and from then on in I cruised home to victory. Had to short shift near the end as my fuel went very close to running out, made it home on 1-2Ls.

That was very interesting race for me to say at least. 1st or 2nd real wet race. I did little practice and planning how to drive but wasn't really prepared when it was time to change different tires vs surface wet and that's hit me hard. I did changed RM when there was still over 50% wet surface and i'm gone. I was really close to quit the race but never done that and hopefully never will :)

I need more wet races :)

Is Monza weather race? Is there raining (100% perhaps)? I still would love to join one more weather race even though i said this was my last race.

Well done Paul 👍
I was hoping to keepup with you but couldn't.

Monza will be the same as the 'Ring. When I open the room, I set the weather to 50% (gives a 50/50 chance of either rain or sun) and allow it to change however GT5 feels fit. It might rain, it might not. Last night was the first race where it actually rained in the series even though it's been possible at several races over the last few seasons.

So I am assuming that changeability will be on 5/10? Or will it just be whatever it is when the room loads up?

On another note, I will be doing practice for Monza periodically throughout the week so everyone registered for the series is free to join me. Paul, I can let you in too even though you are not officially registered.

It was on 3 at the Nurburgring. I might make it a bit higher since the race is shorter at Monza.

Was it naturally on 3 or did you call up Mother Nature asking for a forecast change. That's my real question. I might need a weather man for these things.

I turned it down so it wouldn't change as fast.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, great job to everyone on the start. We were able to get lined up and going with little issue. 👍

Yes the start was good (except for me driving like a retard). Starting from the pits wasn't that bad though, no risk of wrecking it. If you are turning the changeability up for Monza it should be right around 7?? With the assumption that 5 is the generic setting of course.

Nürburgring gallery coming soon!

@Lancer. Ok good. Would you post the track setting (also time progress) so that we (i) could prepare better for Monza weather (what ever it will be on race day)?

@Redbull: please could you put smaller pictures (lower resolution) so that they download faster.

This is what I've been getting at this morning... LOL

I did almost felt all that rain coming to my face last night. It was relief when sun came up and surface started to dry.

The best advice I can give you is to be ready for anything. I don't even know the weather for sure until I set it randomly in the room.

Nice pics Redbull. Sry I parked it guys. Too much damage too many times.
I was about ready to park it too, I really don't care for the North Loop. Just wondering, on the first lap when we were rubbing doors did I give you any damage? If so, my apologies I just got a major run on you and I didn't want to put it to waste. Probably wasn't the best place to pass however.

@redbullrider: Paul was in GT300 not GT500.
Yes Lancer is right. You can tell by the windshield banner, headlight color, and number background. GT300 is yellow and GT500 is white.

I believe Sassafrass should have 5kgs of ballast removed as he finished 5th in the GT500 class. The 4th place finisher does not change ballast. If I am wrong then disregard. Thanks!

He didn't finish. I updated the points and ballast, there were a few situations I didn't cover.

Okay no worries! Are you free any time this week to attend some practice I might throw up?

Oh 💡
That's explain why he went away on back straight while i was behind him hoping to get some draft - his just pull away and i was wandering how much power his car have :)

Nope, the HSV-010 is in GT500. It replaced the NSX in the real series.

BWT Still my quali time (i was 4th) is on cueball @Le Mans standings :(

Ballast: Lancer you're getting fat (someone needs to beat you on race) ;)
-may be i should stay on series...?
