I’m currently sitting in hospital with my daughter who has tested positive.

Somehow I still don’t have it after several negative tests. Even the nurses are puzzled as we (my girl and I) spent all morning together and shared breakfast.

It can take a few days to test positive.

My wife just tested positive today. I've been around her while she was sick with it for the last 4 days. No symptoms yet.

Am I out of the running for GTP vs. Covid if it's in my house?

Nope. You’d need a positive test from yourself.

I’ve had it in my house and it’s still floating around the family currently. I’m still yet to test positive or have symptoms.

If you haven’t have the Covid19 variant you’re in the clear!
Trust me, I'd rather have had Omicron than SARS. That second day was when my roommate and I both got crazy sick. I was running a fever of 107. I was young and had no health insurance, so the ER was out of the question. I really didn't expect to make it through that night or if I did, I'd wake up with my roommate dead.
We survived and fought off fever, chills, and body aches for about two weeks. The cough lasted three months.
Get well soon!
