Added your color Bart.

As we have the grids filled to ~12, maybe a limit of 3 times the same color per grid?

I think I've got the auto registration working fairly well now. i changed the page layout a bit on the form because it didn't work so wide on a mobile device.

https://sites.google.com/site/3d3racing/home/gt5-week-15-online

I added a dynamic image to the OP which should update every 15-30 minutes. I also added the registration link to the OP.

If you want to change or cancel your registration just fill out the form again. The system uses your last submission, but all your submissions are logged. You can change/update the color, switch/add a time slot OR select time slot "cancel" to cancel your registration for the event completely.

This should be fairly easy to translate every week with a once a week setup. We'll still use the normal registration process however in addition until we have several weeks to test this.

Would still be even better to have a WRS-like fetch bot that actually looked over the thread for certain text signifying registrations, just like it does now with splits, but that's beyond me at the moment. Having drivers post on thread and auto register at the same time would be the best setup. As it is now they can use this form without posting to the thread, but I encourage everyone to continue to do both... the automation just helps the admin not have to keep changing the OP, but the thread keeps a log which is good -- not to mention bumps the thread. :sly:

A thumb's up for it being a great idea. 👍
And another for it actually working on the PS3 browser. 👍

i'm in for n/a ultra blue

👍 Nice to have someone new! Also you helped me debug the google document as I found out it didn't handle trailing spaces... Hopefully that's fixed.

Did you send a friend request to GTP_3D3Racing?

I will use Mercury (silver) for both races. Makes me much faster!
Dale

Dale, use the registration form to sign up again and pick your color. Your last registration will overwrite the earlier one.

Another amazing innovation. 👍
Sometimes I feel honored just to be a part of this!

NA Practice lounge is open.
Thanks for company. Tire runs we did, however, are probably obsolete, now that the tire wear model has changed. Or at least I need some more testing. Also, I bought the same car from the dealership to see the powerband. I'm guessing anyone who did an offline WRS event knows this already, but it would seem that one has to upshift at about 6250 rpm to keep it in the powerband.

Yes, the update will certainly change the tire wear for this one.
Looks like today's EU practice will be the test for the new model.

And I was certain I would go with 1 stop after yesterday's practice :(
We'll have to see how it all works out 👍

Will there be an EU practice room tonight? If so, at about what time?

There's an "official" practice every Tuesday at 12 pm PST / 3 PM EST / 8 PM GMT in the 3D3 lounge.
There's also one on Monday(s) right after the WRS event closes at midnight GMT.

All drivers are welcome in either timeslot 👍

NOTE: Any time you want to practice feel free to jump in the GTP_3D3Racing lounge and start a practice yourself... post back here when the room is ready and invite others to join.

Just be ready to vacate the lounge during any official event or practice so Hydro or I can become the official lounge host (our NAT 1 connections tend to reduce network issues).

To set up the lounge, just copy the settings from the event thread OP. And to be safe, make all the changes to regs before you switch to the track. Or after everything is set swap tracks back and forth -- this supposedly gets around a tire wear bug (that might already be fixed with last nights update, but just to be safe).

There's an error that is related to the update preventing the use of our 3d3 lounge.
It's fixed now, and I'm in the lobby running some practice laps. 👍

I'll be joining you in a minute Marc.
Waiting on Bob to finish his race on Fuji. He's on his last lap.

Well it looks like the update may have made a 1 stop strategy all but impossible.

In the NA practice my lap 25 was 1:00.xxx and today's lap 25 in the EU practice was 1:15.xxx and there was no tire wear indicator at all for my left front :D

Thanks for going the distance (again) and testing that, Marc! I'm still trying to make both races, but haven't had time to do any practicing/testing.

Idk, I did 1:00.xxx on lap 24. But you have to abstain from using extra grip SS front tires now provide and keep the same pace at which we tested on Monday. Is it worth it? Don't know. I might go for it if I spin early and end up hot-lapping in solitude.

Hard to say, that's for sure...
You are completely right about the lapping in solitude part. That would make it possible (for me anyway), but then you'd have to count on a second half of the race in solitude as well.
Knowing my history of blowing races due to tire wear I might just have to play it safe this week.
And on Monday I was 100% sure of my strategy :grumpy:

👍
It's basiclly Chistmas week, call in sick or something :D
You need test time like I need another Nissan in my Standard Garage mister 6 in a row

Here's my strategy. Hope speedy doesn't oversleep so I can watch. LOL. Got my twitch.tv iPhone app tuned to his channel.

Ha, I hope I don't oversleep either. I was really disapointed, having to miss the race. :grumpy:
For once, I could be 'fast' and consistent.

Thanks for the practice last night. Went in first corner as last and finished second, now that's good practice :)
(Thanks to everybody who spun off or got dc'ed :sly:)

I don't think I'm going to make the race tonight guys. I'm not in the right frame of mind at the moment. I enjoy racing with you guys, and want to continue to do so in the future. I think I would be a bit aggressive tonight, so it's best I sit this one out.

Have a great race, see you next time.

I fiiled out the form to join tonights EU race, look forward to it if anything changes and I cannot make it ill try post in here.
Still having problems hearing people on the mics I think its the tele iam using only a cheap TV thats in the kitchen and the sounds bad on it.:yuck:

Same here, Hassle. Had trouble understanding the chat through the tv. It was a bit better using my mic (usually don't use it as I'm a shy guy :P)
