My fastest lap at the practice session with hasslemoff was 1'22.767
About 0.5 seconds off my WRS week 13 time.

Damn. It was just a 10 lap session but that's terrible haha.
Using my new DFGT, have to really be so careful on corners, the car feels like its on ice. Looks like I need to put some serious time into this.
Practice tonight will start right after the WRS deadline (2 PM PST / 7PM EST / 12AM GMT) and it tends to go on for several hours so come early, and stay late
Maz was also D2 Bronze when he made the change from pad to wheel. He ended up getting all the way to D1 Gold. He even kept a diary on the process, have a look.Gooners, I have this advice for you - Practice, Practice, Practice.
Changing to a wheel takes time and patience - lot's of both, especially considering how fast you were with the DS3.
This combo will be tough on the new wheel, that's for sure.
Marc, I already set up the GTP_3D3Racing Lounge if people already want in for some practice...
I spent a bit of time in the lounge tonight with Jake, Blair and Marc. Thanks a lot guys for your tips, they already helped me improve quite a bit 👍
MilleRSVRGood to meet you Jake, Chuk and Dan. Had a great practice session, and great conversation too. See you on Wed. for the race.👍
We ran a lot of consistent laps, and i could see u widening yr line nicely. What time did u end up with?

Grammar, Jake, grammar.

You might want to try the "Pekka" practice method at some point - put Comfort tires on the car and run some laps until you have a good controlled line going - it won't be fast, but that's not the point, it's all about control.
Then move up a tire set, until you are back to Sport Softs.
It's painful at first (really painful), but it really does help IMO 👍

His benchmark was the RX-7 Fuji qualifier, where he had an established time on the pad, and then worked at it with the wheel until he beat that time. Then he eventually completely smashed the time.
I think the moral is that practicing on a combo that you're comfortable with and have a good understanding of what you need to do to be fast will help aid the adjustment.
This particular combo is probably a 7 out of 10 on the difficulty scale.
Gooners took first in D3 on Gettin Groceries, and that's an easy combo. Maybe practice that with the wheel until you can beat your WRS time. Another one to consider would be Weds Forest, where you were second in D3.
Well I will start it off. 1'22.9xx with penalty system turned on.
EDKBest I managed tonight practicing with Marc tonight was a 23.1 or 23.2. That was with relatively full tank and tires 4 or 5 laps in.
In race, I got a 23.4 on lap #7.
Once again, I shared all my tips with Marc so he can use them to beat me.
Just remember guys we will do whatever we can do make the experience as fair and fun as possible. If it came down to it we will run head to head tourney style. Actually that sound kind of fun. Like a heads up poker tourney. If we could figure out how to do it with 4 driver sprints it could actually be interesting and done in an hour... until PD fixes this.
