49.1.xx in the toyota.
48.8xx in alpine.

not shure about setup so far

by the looks of it it seems i need to try harder those are some good runs you got there i hope i can get the toyota down to the 48 second range but its going to be hard.

Ran some laps last night in the alpine and best I could manage was a 47.9 with no TCS and a 47.7 with it set at level 1. Its fun driving the car on N3 tires although controlling the amount of drift and wheelspin with the PSP controls can be difficult at times.

I may be able to hit a mid 47 with a tweaked setup but going to be tough as I think I have reached my limit with the alpine. Might try to run some laps with the toyota to see what times I can manage with it compared to the alpine.

0'49.105 in the Toyota 2000GT and 0'49.090 with the Alpine A110.

I feel like the Toyota is somewhat close to it's limit with me. The Alpine can still improve quite a bit - I just have to put more time into running laps with the A110 around Autumn Ring Mini.

Hi guys ! Here are the previous week results consequences and new ranking :

DIV 1

Gold. Fuchur (41 pts)
Silver. Lion-Face (33 pts)
Bronze. Detroitbb (33 pts)

DIV 2.

Gold. easyasashii (40 pts)
Silver. Sylar (19 pts)
Bronze. Awaren (19 pts)

That is to say, as long as Fuchur post a clean time, he will have at least 9 points, 41+9= 50 pts which is > 48, the first session will end with this challenge !!!

So you'll have to fight for your rank in your Division or fight for a better one if you want to start the new session (should begin with Week 12) in a division that will allow you to be eligible for higher points ! That would be great to start the first challenge in Division 1 right ?...

I have a 0'48.980 with the Alpine on default settings...

Most people don't post their replay and photo up until Sunday or Monday - unless they are going away for the weekend and can't do it before the deadline.

I did a handful of laps in the Alpine A110 last night and was able to get a 0'48.779. I didn't take the Toyota 2000GT out for a spin, so my previous time still stands.

I ran the Toyota on default settings and the best I could do was 0'49.437... I'll stick with the Alpine !

Alpine : 0'47.915, but I'm pretty stuck at 0'47.9xx (954, 937, 995, 933...) but I don't know if I will be good/lucky enough to run a faster lap than 0'47.9xx... I ran the Ferrari enzo with S3 just to compare, well, the enzo isnt that hard to handle after all...

Awaren, I hope you'll crack 0'49.5xx !

(I should have forbidden the TCS as well, doesn't make sense since the cars year are '73 and '67 but as long as the rules don't say otherwise, you're allowed to use it and your time will be qualified !)

I cant improve anymore on my 47.708. Tried running some more laps yesterday and only been only able to get high 47.7s. Also ran some laps in the Toyota but found it to be almost a second slower than the Alpine.

Great time of 47.915 easyasashii its identical to time I had with no aids of 47.913.

Only reason I was up with you guys at the top this week rather than my usual position is that this is probably the track I know best in gran turismo as I always used it to test new cars and play around with the setups. Normal service should be resumed next week as I have never raced a lap in either the Renault 5 or the Hommell around Grand Valley East reverse.





The setup I was using for lap was the default with just with manual transmission, TCS set at 1, ASM off, spring rate set at 1 front/rear and ride height -10 front/rear.

I never even thought about using traction control (cue Homer Simpson's "DOH!"). I pretty much stopped ever considering TCS/ASM (and automatic transmission) back during TAC's first season. Glubags convinced me that one could be potentially faster without those driving aids and I've never touched them since. I'm almost tempted to give it a shot, but I have a pretty decent time already without those aids and I'd like to see if I can do it without the additional help - it'll be a challenge!

I didn't run the Toyota 2000GT last night, so no change again in my best time with Japan's first supercar (0'48.822). With the other car, I ran for about ten minutes before getting a time under the 48 second mark. Once that happened, I just watched the replay twice to make sure it was clean and then saved the ghost replay. Currently, I have a 0'47.834 with the Alpine A110. I'm debating whether or not to just submit that time or try a little more tonight. I actually think it's possible to knock about 4/10ths off my time if everything comes together perfectly.

I changed my mind - I'm going submit my time now. By doing so, I can use my boy's PSP to play the other games that I never get to enjoy anymore. I am fairly satisfied with my time.

Yes ! However, because the second is easyasashii with 47 points -weird to speak about myself at the 3rd person... don't really like it... sorry !-, the points difference is 50-47= 3 points : when we all start the new session with 0 points, Fuchur starts at 3 points -in DIV2 though...- all right ?

And yes, I'm sorry to tell you Fuchur that your 0'47.618 is unfortunately unclean :

I m not ok/ unclear with points ant ranking system in some points.

for me this 3 points bonus for next is not ok. i imagine the realy fast racers next session with 9 points bonus for session 3...make more difficult to come close.

better all start with 0 points in the new session as written in the first thread.

as a suggestion : new startranking can be after points :fuchur, easy, detroitbb ,l-f,sylar,awaren
or we use the actual ranking, this ok too..


for me unclear is the up and down. after week 10, 2 go up to first div and 2 down to second div. i thought only bronce and gold change places ?
this is a question of what we want. can change all 3? can jump more than 1 div ( for the future)

i m not fixed on something. only talk to get clear ,fair rules. its in progress

About promotions, I first thought only Gold can be promotted but when the occasion was given to promote two drivers I found the idea pretty cool because it gives us even more challenge/competition between us week after week...
That is to say, first top 3 of challenge 1 will be challenge 2's DIV1 and thus eligible for max points !

But if you guys think only Gold can be promotted, let's do it !

EDIT : we also could change everything, and ask our new boss Detroitbb !
