WTACers, please make sure you READ ALL the Rules before enter the WTAC, it would be a shame running for one week with the wrong tires, see your time disqualified and thus see all your efforts vanished or running without taking benefit from all the settings you have at your disposal...

I did 20 laps in the Renault 5 Turbo and 80% were in the 1'19.6xx - 1'19.1xx range. I had a few that were 1'19.0xx - 1'18.9xx... but then, out of nowhere, I ran a 1'18.701. I'm not sure how much success I'll have in trying to beat that time. I feel like I'm nearly maxed out with that car - I'm having a hard time keeping it's tail firmly planted on the tarmac!
I then switched to the Hommell Berlinette R/S and did 15 laps before admitting defeat. I was unable to even get within a couple tenths of my previous best time (1'17.218).
So, my revised times are as follows...
Renault 5 Turbo: 1'18.701
Hommell Berlinette: 1'17.218
combined total: 2'35.919

Great times Detroitbb, yeah the back of that Renault gets a handful at times. 👍
Tried one final run with some changes to the toe and camber and managed to improve on previous times in both cars but that's definitely it from me as I was on an edge with both laps and in lap in Hommell I made a mistake in last corner which probably cost a maybe 1/2 a tenth. I didn't bring left wheel off rumble strip early enough on exit of corner which meant left rear touched the grass costing me traction in accelerating down the pit straight towards line.
Happy with the times though as there are alot faster than I was expecting

Am I wrong or do I still have 2 days before the deadline? I just noticed everybody has submitted their times. And very tough to beat.

You've got time red ice. I don't know why people are submitting, maybe they are busy over the next few days, and its best to get your times submitted too early rather than too late, like I learnt last season.
I'm still to post my times, and will be only a few hours before the deadline (suits me best to do so) especially seeing as I haven't run (nor even own) the Renault yet.

ok thanks. I am now starting to tune up my renault to make it turn like an FR. I am focusing on getting my fastest TURN 1-2 speed. whenever I can't beat my turn 1-2, I restart cause I cannot anymore catch up after that. hehehe.
I'm actually liking this challenge and I feel I ain't that bad at all considering this is my first WTAC.Even Though I have the slowest time.

I was just about to take my photos and upload my ghost replays... until I saw your post! Considering that I'm only six one thousands of a second behind you, I feel like I at least have to try 10 laps or so with each car before tipping my hat to you!
Agree that's its worth having one final run as you say only having .006 of a second between our times in laps times which are over two and a half minutes is probably as close as we could possible get. Any improvement would probably be enough to get fastest lap.
I did one final run in the Renault and managed to improve my previous best by .014 of a second. Managed to get a better run out of tunnel exit hairpin and the last corner.
Final times are
Renault - 1'18.762
Hommell - 1'17.137
combined - 2'35.899
The setup I was using on Renault was
Camber 2.5/2.5
toe -20/+10
damper 9/9
Springs 9/9
suspension lowest setting front and rear

I tried. And though I was able to knock .013 off my time for the Hommell Berlinette, I never did find a tuning setup that I felt comfortable with. I know there is still more time to be had as I was frequently in the 1'17.2xx range - I just don't have the patience!
I also tried with the Renault 5 Turbo but was never closer than 1'18.8xx. My tuning with this car was even worse than with the Hommell! It's a fun little car that I'm curious to know how well it handles on the rally courses too.

Great times Detroitbb:tup:, we have been trading times which have been within a tenth of each other most of the week so we have certainly been pushing each other to our limits. I mean only having .007 between us usually even qualifying in F1 isn't even this close. Its been good fun though and added to the excitement as times are never usually this close.
