Well I finally have some initial times, got the Pontiac just a little bit ago. I drove the fpv first, it's definitely a handful. When I started with the Pontiac my initial impressions were cry negative, it felt slower and heavier and much more prone to oversteer...but I ended up clocking a full second below my fpv time on my second lap.

Interesting cars for this track, the high speed downhill left is scary every time :P

When you get a bit more comfortable with the cars, try adding a little bit of tuning (cars have to be added to your 'favorites' first) - it really helps extract every little bit of time out of the car/track combo.
 
I lowered them, removed a bit of rear toe and added a little camber, haven't tuned the suspension yet, however. I'll be focussing on that during my next session.

Got a 1'28.456 for the Pontiac. I decided to make the Pontiac the harder half of the challenge. I hope to shave 1 second more by the end of the week.

1'23.907 with the FPV!! After hours struggling and skidding, I have shaved 1 WHOLE second in a magic first run. I have just started my session, so better times will come! ;)

Well done Dan360 !!! I just broke the 1'23 barrier too ;) !!! But two unclean laps and nearest clean lap is a 1'24.200... I'll work on it and make sure I'll post new times before deadline !

Thanks, easy and Dbb! The end of Friday's session was great, breaking into the 1'23 with both cars. .7xx with the FPV, and .9xx with the Pontiac. How did I do it? I simply set TCS from 1 to 3.

Currently my best time is 1'27.903, Pontiac. improved by almost a second.hahahah!
Successfully managed to properly drive better racing lines. As usual, as sir lion face said before, I tend to brake early. Can't seem to break the habit.
Ill be starting to drive the FPV today and aiming to match my Pontiac's 1'27.xxx

Well, this was my last attempt, came back at 1 am, run half an hour with each car and it feels like GT is mocking me ;) :

I wanted to break the 1'23 barrier with the FPV and with a clean lap to submit... no way ! Got a 1'24.024... :ouch:

I'm at doorsteps but can't go in :banghead:!!! So frustrating !

I also tried TCS... I'm slower with so...

Dan - there is a problem with your submissions. You chose the correct tires, but the physics settings are incorrect (oops!). I know that was an accidental mistake because you always run on 'professional'!
 
Congratulations Dan360 on breaking into the 1.23 with both cars great times. :bowdown:

Did some more runs with the cars but wasn't able to improve on previous times. Even tried some runs with TCS set at level 1 and level 3 but found that the times were slower than my previous best laps without any TCS.

Oops, didn't notice that! I was running a few standard races before my session, as a warm up. I'll set a few 'rushed' times, just before the deadline, I hope I can match my 'standard' times!

My 'rushed' session took nearly 4 hours! Both cars are in 1'24.7xx average. But I might upload the data, just before the deadline. Wheter I can make it or not, I don't know...

*sigh* Looks like I missed the deadline, I could not find a computer to upload the files (I mostly go on the internet on my phone). If anyone was interested, I got a combined time of 1'29.4xx . See you next week...

Awww... sorry about that, Dan. At least you built up a good lead in the past two challenges!

I almost forgot to upload my replay files this week - luckily I remembered just before going to sleep.

I am quite happy to see easyasashii back on the podium... he was only about a half-second from snagging second place (good job, easy!).

I also wanted to mention to red ice that I enjoyed his Youtube video (RemoteJoyLite?) and his accompanying song! Thanks for sharing that with us!

Thanks detroitbb! I had some free time yesterday so I decided to upload my replays and render it. If all goes well, I might contribute a post-race homage regularly by posting my vids via RemotejoyLite capture.
Realizing that I am not capable of the best times and being a consistent bottom-finisher(even though I try my best), This is my way of showing my love of the game. And of course!!!! I was inspired by detroitbb's photo-interludes and his meaningful weekly combos!!!!
