GTP WTAC Week 94 : A Prelude's Interlude

*** Honda first sold the Prelude model to the public starting in 1978 and ceasing in 2001. It was a sporty 2-door coupe and it's production spanned five generations. We'll be racing the fourth and fifth gen Honda Prelude from the early and late 1990s. And since both of these cars happen to be front-engine/front wheel drive (FF), we'll get that added as part of the challenge! ***

First times (Only 0 toe adjustment)
Prelude S-spec '98 ~ 1'30.438
Prelude Si VTEC '91 ~ 1'30.377

The real problem I have with this track is the H-J chicanes, I need to find a consistent line to take through it.

Nevertheless, I'm loving these two FF cars. 👍

I'm sorry for your loss, nascarlemanslmp.

So what about my car list? ;>
So far I'm pretty sure I'll choose the nissan skyline coupe for the first car.
Still thinking about second one...

I think the E-type's a good match for the Skyline Coupe. :)

only screens left... :(

Could I participate this week with pics only ?
it were clean laps and not such a great times,

Unfortunately, we can't accept a submission without the pictures and the ghost replay files - sorry!

I've done the same thing (twice, in fact!), so I totally understand! Just try to do one clean lap with each car so you can get the points as we likely only have two or three more weeks left in this current racing session.

👍

Waaaah! I've lost a lot of time this week! I haven't run a single serious lap! I better get gaming tomorrow if I want to place good. :(

I have Pictures of the replays -

scaled.php

scaled.php

are they enough ? :nervous::ouch:

We'll need both replay data and pics to verify the status of the laps. Just confirming the use of the regulated tires, physics, etc.. isn't quite enough.

Just do the laps again and submit it with both the pics and replay data. 👍

I don't think I could repeat those times ;/
You still have a lot of time left, you know? You could just jump in and redo the laps with the settings you last used and who knows, you could submit a faster time than that. 👍

With the theme of FF stability, I gained a better understanding about driving FWD cars and how the feel differs from the RWD and 4WD in this challenge. The cars are unbelievably stable through the corners, but can be sluggish if done wrong.

Didn't have much time last week to play so I only drove an hour or so last night. I used the '91 Prelude first, it had a understeer problem (under acceleration) that I corrected with a tune of, +10 +10 (Toe) and 1.0 0.5 (Camber) (Didn't tune the other things) but I discovered after doing my final time that I made a mistake, I wanted to give the car -10 to the rear Toe not +10. So that goes to show how good I am at tuning...:ill:

Both cars are very close in performance. Both cars can reach a 1'27.xxx time.
