John Cusack - Namely for High Fidelity, but i'm sure there are loads of others.
Brad Pitt - I'm ashamed to say it as there are so many connections to this guy that i don't want to be related with, but i've seen loads of his films (gf is a big fan, naturally) and he is a good actor. Snatch, Meet Joe Black to name two.
Anthony Hopkins - What else can be said.
John Travolta - Even just for Pulp Fiction and Face/Off, but there are others.
Robert de Niro - Need to be more educated in his works, but from i've seen his definitely a good one.

I might think of more.

Jean Reno
Ewan McGregor
Tom Hanks
Gene Hackman
Toshiro Mifune
Arnold Schwarzenegger
Brad Pitt
Moritz Bleibtreu
Al Pacino
Sean Connery

Came close: Uma Thurman(Kill Bill!) and Johnny Depp

I didn't name Brad Pitt as I have a few actors in front of that, but I would definately agree he is a very good actor. I've enjoyed Fight Club, Snatch, Meet Joe Black, Oceans 11...he is good.

Kevin Spacey
I've never liked Kevin Spacey. I find him very boring and dull, and I see no personality in the man. I could say he is a decent actor in a sense that he plays his roles fairly well, but he is quite boring to watch on the other hand.

Really? Have you seen him in American Beauty? He is truly superb in that film. A career defining performance, IMO. I can do without the shower scene, though.

Have you seen him in Troy? That movie was way better than I though it would be.

I like Kevin Spacey in almost every movie he's in. I thought he was amazing in Se7en(but, so was Pitt & Morgan Freeman), and really good in "Usual Suspects".

A shower scene? I must have blocked that part out from my memory..... as I wrote that, it came back to me(seriously). Thanks so much!

Nah, haven't got around to seeing that movie yet. I suppose I should.

I'm not a fan of the movie, although I agree with a6m5 that the Usual Suspects isn't too bad. Probably the only Kevin Spacey movie I like.

Not sure if they're the 'best' but these are the actors I like to watch the most...

Toshiro Mifune
Johnny Depp
Samuel L Jackson
Christopher Lee
Harrison Ford
Takashi Shimura
Peter Sellers
Morgan Freeman
F Murray Abraham
Kevin Spacey

........plus the ubiqutous Pacino and DeNiro (and a nod to Brando).
Some are only from one or two performances from one or two films (such as Sellers in Dr Strangelove and F Murray Abraham in Amadeus). But I'd say that my most favourite is Mifune.

RE: Kevin Spacey. Very good in American Beauty and The Usual Suspects but Pay It Forward? :ill: I've only been able to watch ten minutes of that film...

I thought he was great as a stoner in True Romance.

In no particular order.

Kevin Spacey (It's between him and DeNiro for number 1 spot)
Robert DeNiro
Kate Winslet
Johnny Depp
Woody Harrelson
Jodie Foster
Tom Hanks
Al Pacino
And finally I couldn't decide who the last two would be out of Harrison Ford, Gene Hackman and Sean Connery

Of ALL time? I can't name just ten.

Audrey Hepburn
Jimmy Stewart --> (You can disagree with me on those if you want.)
Sean Connery
Kevin Spacey
Jodie Foster
Uma Thurman
Nicholas Cage
John Travolta
Nicole Kidman
Jim Carey (surprisingly, I like him better in serious roles)
Bill Murray
Angelina Jolie

and Conan O'Brien--he's not a real "actor" per se, but I thought I'd mention him anyway. He's funny like his life depended on it, plus he wrote for the Simpsons.
