I think I would have done much better on any other track

Ok, I'm thinking:

• - 1-2 sessions / week - to keep the 'special' feeling and meaning in it (maybe one during the workdays and one @ weekend)
• - 2-4h / session - to get as many D1 drivers as possible on track at the same time
• - certain timeslot e.g. :03 / :18 / :33 / :48
• - one make race?

Great idea... as long as you don't inflict that evil handling NSX on us as the one make car... even thinking about driving that car gives me nightmares!

*Stotty reminds Timo of his laps in the 350Z for the GT Challenge* If you managed that time in less than 20 laps you should be driving F1 cars for a living.

I don't think I would have got in D1 if the qualifying track had been anything other than Suzuka

I'm guessing the online events at hand are pretty much the deciding factor with the track & pp selection.. Might be more fun with International event.

Hey all nice to be here. Sounds like a good idea with the D1 race meetings until the update, then we can really have at it. I'm on the west coast of the US so that means I'll likely need to race with you all at 6 am, lol.

Yeah, there always seem to be a few posts from people in the Suzuka World event at 3am or later (earlier?) GMT (which I think is 7pm west coast).

I don't beleive it I made it into the top division. I worked my knackers of on this event. I got quicker times but just kept catching the edge of the track.

I am totally made up and look forward to racing with you guys.

And to think I am using a sixaxis.


P.s. Are the results posted anywhere? Or when & where did Sphinx announce them?

Bloody hell... well done... I ran a few laps with the controller just for a laugh... I don't think I'd have made D3. This car/track/tyre combo requires consistent partial throttle and steering inputs.. how the hell you managed that with the pad is beyond me.

I'd be intersted to know if there are any other controller users are there in D1?

I think Jack Stanley is Sixaxis user.

Trust me I spent an entire weekend (litterally), just turning lap after lap until I was doing it whilst asleep. I supose it is whatever you are use to. Not had the privillage yet of using the G25.

Wheel drivers must be spewing by this fact that Sixaxis drivers are on the top table.

IMO, anyone in D1 using the pad is doing amazingly well, but to be D1 gold with the pad is incredible!

Yeah Sphinx wont post them cause there are still more time to come. I can kind of guess the cut off point D1 bronze but other than that I dont know....

Who knows we might see the times later on!

G25 with playseat here... I have played all the GT's with pad & auto gearbox (BIG HANDS) and am soooooooo happy with that marvelous wheel for GT5p...

Some events in TT like Gt Academy are not pad's friends

Just thought I'd introduce myself as I haven't really been very active on this forum in the past but I guess now is a good time to start! Anyway its a pleasure to be in the same division as you guys I wish I could say I've raced against some of you in the past but I don't think I have as yet! I do recognise a few of your PSN ID's from the GT Academy tournament in which most of you finished above me! I finished just outside the top 50 myself. The idea of a weekly meeting of some kind sounds great to me I did my Suzuka laptime with a pad although I do have a G25 but can't use it at the moment sadly
