Welcomr to the "NEW" era of racing.We have 66 members in our division and I'm seeing some new names here.Please tell us a little something about your self so that we can get to know each other a little better.
I'm from Regina Sask. Canada. 46 years old and a retired racer, now a race offical.I seem to race faster than I can quallify as some of my best races have been with the div.2 drivers.:sly:Look forward from hearing from you all.:)

Division 4 it is for me as well. I have raced some of the names on this list and so far I think it's matched pretty well. :)

For those of you who do not know me: I'm Lars, 32 years old and a Software Consultant in real life. I have setup a tuning shop right here on GTP called Dutch Customs. I look forward to meeting you all online. 👍

Yup division 4 is the place for me, haven't raced I think any of the division members, and I think it would be useful to put what version of the game each of us is playing, I for once play the NTSC but anyway.

I'm Alex (short for Alejandro) 20 years old and a Marketing Student, you can mostly catch me around in Suzuka even though right now my GT time has gone down drammatically.

Into computers, playing guitar, music-metal mostly.
Use a Dual shock 3, enjoy all racing games, but number 1 is Gran Turismo.

I'm Gary, 43 years old, living in Hampshire, UK (originally from Bolton, Lancashire).

Been playing GT since the GT1 days, but don't get as much time to play as I'd like... Only went online for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and haven't seen many GTP folk in the races I've been in (bad timing I guess!). I try to be clean and only use the track/rumble strips - if I nudge you or go off-piste it's my lack of skill rather than deliberate, so sorry in advance!

In real-life I'm into US muscle-cars, currently lucky enough to have a Corvette (I know, it's not really a muscle car...). Driven karts and done a few track days in single-seaters. Online you're more likely to find me in something with 4WD or at the very least FR (mid-engined cars don't seem to agree with my driving style so I was pleased to make it into Div 4 in an F430!).

Hi,

I'm Tim, 19 years old, living in Ghent, Belgium.

I've always been a Gran Turismo fan.
I played GT1,GT2,GT3,GT4 and now GT5 Prologue.
I played always with a DualShock until 4 weeks ago I guess.
I bought a Logitech G25, and I'm really glad I did this.
My times with a dualshock were better than now,
but I'm getting more and more used to the G25 now, and it's a lot more fun+realistic.

I'm still studying and I have a pretty busy life,
so I don't have that much time to race.
I try to play one hour a day but even that's sometimes a little bit hard.
I'm looking forward to racing with you guys.
And I hope I'll get rich later so I can go in the real racing world.

Hi, my name is Josh and I've been a GT addict for 10 years now. :D I'm 28, happily married with one Pug. Been born and raised in Ohio. I'm system admin/programmer by day but was a machinist and a drafter/designer before that. When I'm not working, I'm typically working on my house, my '53 chevy, playing bass or reliving the classics on the NES/SNES.

I love the GT series. Hooked when I was 9 I think.

Currently playing GT5:P most the time. I use the controller but I may buy a DFGT when I have money :lol:

I use the S2K at HSR usually getting podiums trust me. I am not the best with Suzuka thus Im in D4 lol.

I enjoy drifting online and my HSR set-ups are for drift/grip. I dont use aids unless ABS. I try my best not to cause problems or crashes with other racers (It even causes me to crash myself :lol: but its for the saftey of others ;))

Hope to enjoy some races with you all.

Hi all, my name is Derek and I'm from California, USA. I am a 29 yr old software support engineer and I grew up with the entire GT series and I am a registered SCAA autocross member. My wife & 18mo old daughter keep me pretty busy these days but I usually always take some time out of the day to play GT5P. I'm using my old trusty DFP right now but one day hope to get the G25. My favorite car currently is the Lotus Elise-Tuned and my fav track is Suzuka. I look forward to our races together!

Hello i'm simon, 32, D4 gold and I'm a builder. I, like most of you have been playing the GT game's since the first one. I haven't really played GT4 in about two year's and I didn't play any video games at all through the summer. I've just started getting into GT5 prologue the last 2-3 weeks so i'm a little rusty. I use an old GT driving force wheel that i bought at christmas 2001 for GT3 and it's still going strong, I've built a nice little cockpit for it aswell and it make's for some good, fun racing. I'll replace the old wheel with a G25 before GT5 is released though. Other than GT my hobby's are DIY, watching football and F1. I've got a feeling that this is going to be a very competative group as I'm sure that we are all faster in races than we are in TT's. I for one did 1 lap a whole second faster than the one I posted and three a half second faster but it may have been a fluke so I posted my most consistent of the day. I'm looking forward to seeing you all on the track so g-luck to all in D4

Hi all,

Unlike alot of GTP members, I only started playing the GT series with GT5P. Got my PS3, G25, etc... just for GT5P ;) Have not been a motorsport fan for long (approx 1 year maybe) mainly interested in Rallying and Drifting stuff.

Hopefully will get to race with you guys soon and I apologize in advanced if I punt you guys online as I'm still learning alot on grip racing. Oh yeah, feel free to add me to your PSN friends list if you feel like beating someone in a race :lol:

Hi, I'm Peter J. Ford, aka GTP_Im_Sorry.

I am a LAMP (Linux Apache MySQL PHP) developer.
I drive a slow Jetta, and some really really slow Jeeps, so I get my need for speed virtually.

I know that I can make mistakes that can ruin others races, hence the "Im Sorry" but I always try to be clean and fair.
 
If anyone needs any help with setup,driving pionters, or anything eles feel free to ask me.Just to compair,my average lap time at HSR 800pp in the Amuse is 1:03:xx and my best race time was 7:26:XX:)

I work as an electrician and air conditioning mechanic.

I've been a fan of the GT series from the start. Fuji is my favourite from GTP5.

Other interests are Motorsport especially F1, Golf, Photography and Model Making.

Mind you, I only ran 10 laps - having never driven the car before, any MR on Professional physics, any car on Professional physics without driving aids or indeed any car at all with the G25 - and submitted the 3rd clean one, so I'm quite happy with the time and place.

So, I'm Division 4's friendly neighbourhood moderator. :D

And if you're not familiar with me, there's nearly 25,000 posts with my name attached to them :lol:

I was shocked to see your name in Div 4. From what I remember you were pretty fast in the GT4 WRS (at least to me :D). Maybe there's something to this conspiracy thing afterall...

I think I ran about 20-30. I'm sure I could have gotten a second or two off if I really tried and put in a lot of hours, but that is not something I generally do before racing, so I thought that would give a wrong impression of how I normally drive. The time I submitted is representative of how I usually drive, so I'm happy with it. :)
 
I only ran 3 laps for my qualifier and sent it pretty early as I feared that I may forget to post my entry for the deadline just in case certain things pop up. But i'm pretty comfortable being in this division as there are great drivers here, I did arrange a couple of race events before so it would be cool to establish some sort of foundation for us to meet up formally before the private rooms come at some point. 👍

Oh just to put some info, i'm 21 from the UK and I work as a sales rep for a biometrics company and drive a dinky VW Polo 1.2 in real life (the picture of my car should be on Wikipedia, the MK4F). I use the humble Sixaxis (though my R2 button is feeling funny at the moment so may have to use my white DualShock3) to drive round.

Been playing GT since it turned out to consoles, and using the second wheel of my life DFP, soon to be replaced by G25.

I cant do Suz without one lap fail so I submitted the only completed lap I had lol

Whats worse was that I used ASM (thats bad...)
Without it I had the tendencey to oversteer into some sand or drift lol...

Oh my time was Edited by Mod the only completed lap out of 10 trys lol (S corners just made me want to drift)
