Anyone else stoked for the upcoming Singapore F1 race?!?

Yep, looking forward to a good race with the result decided on track and not by the stewards after the event (and I hope the organisers have paid their electricity bill!)... I can't remember the last time there were so many good driver/car combos with a serious chance of winning a race (well, not since the Cosworth DFV days anyway).

By the way, I hear that non-Ferrari F1 cars will be added in the next GT5P update. To make it as close to real-life as possible, in addition to Steering Assist you'll also be able to toggle FIA Assist.

Theres a setting in the japanese tuner thread.

I got a late 1'58 using it. (note I am not a suzuka driver...)

I am finding the event very hard, actually. Very hard to keep it clean ánd get a good time at the same time.

I know what you mean. It's not so hard to avoid hitting the AI.
It's the AI hittting me thats the problem

Umm a little question here, when you submit the replay for the verification of the GTP qualifier do you get a notice when it's recieved and/or checked, because I sent mine a couple days ago and don't know if I did it right or if there were problems with it or not.

Hey guys, I'm Turbo Lag. I'm 13, I've been an avid GT player since I was about 6 years old. I'm still not the best racer out there . My favourite cars in GT5P are the F40, Focus ST, Aston Martin DB9 (In California Sage), Lexus ISF, BMW M3, and the Corvette Z06. My hobby on GT5 right now is drifting, you might find my name on some of the drifting rankings. I don't go online all that much, but I'm happy to join anyone racing online.



The current event for me wasn't all that difficult as some people made out to be. I cracked it on my third attempt. The AI is pretty stupid, and ended up bumping me on the last chicane part on my second attempt, last lap. It really isn't too hard to take first place, it wasn't my main issue.

I would like online comps as well as time trials.
I do the time thing online, but always have trouble hooking up with others.
Roll on private rooms.

Maybe a combo of online and TT.How many here use voice chat?If it is not included in the next update,we have a few options.Also if we do this,it will be treated as a team practice as there is already a offical GTP event under way.But the bragging rights for inhouse would be great.

I'm up for the idea of a special division 4 event, it would sure be fun, the online racing part might be a bit of a struggle since at least most of the users are using the PAL version so it would leave the NTSC race a bit unattended.

I'm thinking a TT to start with, that way anybody can do it whenever they want. I'd like an online event as well, but we'd need an international event to make it work, right?

I think a TT qualifier would be very goodand after that maybe 1-on-1 races until some kind of finals, the great advantage about 1 on 1 is that the individual participants of a race could set a date and time to suit both, which should be easier than to organize a race with let's say 10 NTSC and PAL drivers.
