Still a lot of work to do but thought I would throw these times in...

27.699
34.539

Losing time in the same section as I am in the TT, those slow corners kill me :grumpy:

@ Penelope: You don't appear on the leaderboard. I don't know why but maybe you should edit your signature with your WRS Div etc.
No sure but I assume Fetchybot can't add you to the board if you don't have these infos in your signature.

PS: Glad to see a girl in WRS :)

@ all WRS TT Veterans: Stop me if i'm wrong ;)

EDIT: 3rd session here, new splits:

27.575
33.766

Hey Penny, nice to see you mate. 👍 I don't think your qualifier has been processed yet.
PS: Glad to see a girl in WRS :)

There are 3... Christina (GTP_Arianrhod) And occasionally Ron's wife Kelly.

Hi Litchi, I am down as Division 2-Provisional and just received the following after sending the Fetchybot my time!

"Your username is not in the official registry. Please make sure you are registered correctly, than try again."

I guess I have jumped the gun a little as I don't appear on the Registry yet :grumpy: Thanks for the welcome but I am not the only girl/lady in the WRS, GTP_Arianrhod is also of the fairer sex 👍

Edit...

@ Vagabond, yes I think you are right I'll have to wait a while for it to go through, thanks for the welcome.

Shouldn't take too long hopefully. And call me Chris. :)

Another bash at this since the snow has brought life to a halt up here. I'm liking this more and more as I get used to a slower pace.

27.183
33.780

Huge gains (or losses) to be had in sector 3.

I'd love to see a vid of your 27.1 Chris. I still wonder how it'd be possible for me and my poor DS3 to find 4 more tenths here :nervous:

What and lose my advantage? :sly: Yeah I'll do a sector 1 vid later on probably... I usually do one anyway. 👍

Welcome to the WRS :) :gtpflag: No harm in getting a bit of practice in, in time for your first official event 👍

Great T1 time Chris 👍 I can't go below 27.2, that gear shift from 2nd-3rd is hard to time right!

Gonna give this one a run at some point this week I think. Been meaning to get back in to Gran Turismo as it's been a while (Week 71 was the last WRS I ran!)

These street circuits give a whole new meaning to 'hitting the apex'

New splits:
27.372
33.601

@ Penelope, welcome to :gtpflag: great to see new blood and if your seasonal TT times are anything to go by you should be making a few Div 1 guys very nervous

Openers and I hope that I can find a bunch more else I'm going to look pretty foolish.....again! Transitioning from my DS3 is turning out to be harder than I expected but the wheel is a whole lot more engaging :)

My most common mistake there so far is bouncing off the limiter in 2nd picking up wheelspin over the curbs. But try short shifting and this bugger has no guts, which is odd for a V8.

Got a similar splits with a much better 3rd sector, although I still spun it up a bit exiting the roundabout. Not into the .6s yet in sector 2 but I know where I'm losing it at least.

Nice T1 there, you sure you didn't take a shortcut down a side street :sly:
Yeah, that happens to me, I find that short shifting only works if your rear tyres aren't slipping over the tarmac though, otherwise it just bogs down. I had 27.100 first sector earlier :D Of course I buggered up the next corner in the braking phase though  I'm too tired, easter holiday tomorrow so I should be less sleep deprived over the coming weeks :)

P.S On my current splits my last sector was absolutely atrocious ;)

Can one of you chaps post a quick write up of the middle sector?

33.6's are just silly

Much Thanks to Dion, John and Omar!! I appreciate the wheel tips very very much. A lot of good thoughts and techniques.💡

Still looking for a video of a hotlap on this track. Really struggling here and could use some visual help. I've looked myself and all I could find was races which isn't really that much help. I'm sure there has to have been a TT of some sort ran at this track at one time or other, so if anyone knows where there is a video, it would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm confused. Is this competition about the best lap time or just about the best T1+T2 combined time? I ask because if it is about the sector times then the "save best lap" feature does not necessarily save the best T1+T2 time.

For example I may get +0.2 in my T1 (two tenths slower than my best T1 time), T2 is +0.2 (best) and T3 is -0.2 (fastest T3 time ever) and that is shown as my best lap time even if I may have done +0.0 T1 and +0.0 T2 (2 tenths faster T1+T2 combined time compared to the "best lap time") but it is not saved as my best lap because the T3 was poor.

It is about the best lap time, but we are not allowed to share our time and only use the T1 and T2 to "gauge" where we are at.

So you want to focus on the fastest time at the end as thats what the results will be counted on.

First lap today and I improve, shoddy middle sector though...

New Splits:

27.113
33.773

Slight improvement:

27.182
33.701

Thanks for the info 👍

My sectors so far:
27.269
33.781
Hoping to shave a tenth or two for my final effort...

Finding a little improvement but I'm getting close to my limit now. Fluking a few tenths in the first two sectors but had a much better last sector. I have no idea where/how to find over a second in sector 1 and 2 :nervous:

27.819
34.516

27.614
34.303

First attempt (active steering strong):

27.910 27.685 27.397
34.308 34.528 34.200

Unless I'm mistaken, the last time we ran this exact layout of Madrid was back in Week 12 in the VW GTI, and no one made youtube vids of the winners back then.

You might try downloading some of the winners' replays from that week's results thread.
