Little bit better, but still struggling for consistency in T1. Have been through there 0.35 faster than this so still looking for at least that much on the lap

Quick question. Is the white curb to the left as you enter the first left hander of T2 before the hairpin legal as long as you dont hit the armco?

Yep. Back when we did the Ford GT test car here I was actually up on the concrete legally. :scared:

Got some cleanup to do in T1 and first turn in T2. If I can get a good run through the tunnel I think I know where I can improve in that first sector but it's so hit and miss through there for me.

...Oh and if you re-post your splits, that should cheer Fetchy up. 👍

Here Fetchy-boy, chase this mate!

Silly dog ;)

Edit: That didn't help either. Looks like I broke the app ;)

Edit: changed the last digit by +1 to see if Fetchy goes for it if it changes.

Using this tune: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=6623820#post6623820

Best one I've found so far - I've improved by nearly a second, so something must be working tune wise.

Try striking out the transmission numbers - perhaps that might work. Or it might need manual editing from one of the admins.

Seems to be ok now. I PM'ed Gravitron - maybe he worked some magic.

No new splits yet. But I've made improvements in sector 1 - I've seen a few high 37's, but that first corner in sector 2 is a 🤬 I lose my ghost so many times after an excellent sector 1 on that corner or lose some of the extra time I made up. Sector 2 must have been really good in my last splits because I can't improve my overall time even with a few tenths faster in sector 1. :ouch:

Going backwards in sector 1 but improvements in 2 and 3 for a much better lap time

my tune

Yep, I remember doing a similar time trial here and being on the concrete with it being legal

Well this has been fun so far but I'm really trying to put in a serious effort on this one. Love this track. More to come.

Is the curbing part of the track?

It sure is. I have noticed that generally, unless otherwise noted, everything on a city track is legal as long as you don't touch the walls. Since nothing was noted you're fine if you get up on that curb without hitting the armco. It is possible under the tunnel and up the hill before the hairpin as I found last night. :D I'm note sure it is any faster though.

Careful in sector three as the curbs (the actual curbs, not the red and whites) there in the middle esses coincide with invisible walls if I remember correctly.

The only city track I can think of that has extra restrictions is Rome with the large run off in the last turns.

Lost a little in T1 but gained some in T2 and gained over 3 tenths at the finish line.

....so when I come careering out of the tunnel, struggling for grip in the right hander at the bottom of the hill and slide into the curbing on the left of the road - hitting it with an audible bang (but a long way from the wall) - that's OK? I really thought curbs should be off limits because if you can touch them, you can hit them. If you can't hit them, surely you can't touch them?

No. In general an audible bang usually means an invisible wall, which would mean you probably wouldn't even be able to get far enough over to touch the real wall that you can see. I didn't experiment with the edges of track in that spot, so if you can, that would be helpful.

The legal curbs that DB was talking about are the kind you can ride up on, in the fast right-left before the tight hairpin. Those are legal, as no audible bang is heard.

Most of the other curbs around here are the kind you can't ride up on, and are good to stay away from, again due to the invisible walls.

Well guys, looks like toaster is, cooking the competition. Sorry, my best attempt at a "Bad Caruso".

Nice debut. :)

Hopefully I'll get to this one soon.

Had another run, knew my third sector was poor - but beat it by 8 tenths this lap. Think I must have joined the main straight a junction later lol.

T1 37.752
T2 27.946

Not sure how much I can improve, hopefully a couple of tenths yet.

Really enjoying this combo though, cheers.

Still having a hard time with this but the good news is I've found a way to add to the simulation of the game. I've got 2 windows open in my room as its 76 degrees outside and really windy. Feels like I'm driving a convertable with the top down,

Ahhh, I see what you did there, haha. I'm sure whatever speed I have through sectors 1 and 2 is being ruined by my lack of speed through the right-left-right in sector 3. The blind entry to the beginning of that section is giving me issues.

That's known, by us oldtimers, as 55 airconditioing. Drive 55 mph with the windows down. :)

It was as you described - a hidden wall. Well I live and learn :).

Jeez. I got 5 centigrade (41 F) you lucky 🤬

I'm done for the day. Feel like a pinball bouncing off every wall there is. Really fustrated right now.

I feel like Juan Pablo Montoya, if there was a Fire Truck out on the track, I'd probably hit that damn thing too.
