Absolutely fantastic times on the board in all Div's!! Great fun this TT. 👍

Hey folks, back from a long WRS/GT5 hiatus and thought I'd put a few laps in.

25.901
23.837
20.019

Still room for improvement :)

Still struggling with this. I just can't do it............

Now, picture me doing that impression as I cross the finish line for the 100th time with no improvement. (Yes, I'm losing my sanity because I have done it, lol. My girlfriend heard my rant and was like, "What the hell are you on about?" lol)

 "**** it, Jim I'm a doctor not a pool man!" :D

Keep the faith, bud. In sure you'll find your way. I spent almost three hours straight on it last night without touching the ghost and I still can't wait to do it again tonight. :dopey:

Some nice updated splits after another 8 laps..

S1: 25.217
S2: 23.530
S3: 19.728
Good Luck

Ha ha, funny movie uh? I love watching Jim Carey.

Yea, back at it right now. Just improved a small bit just now. Not much, but a step in the right direction. Feels like it might be a good day. 👍 You know me, NGU. Thanks for the encouraging words. Even I, the preacher of NGU, need them sometimes. :)

EDIT: New splits.

25.554
23.697
19.728

Yep, going to be a good day. I could feel it pretty much from the first lap. Some days, you can tell if its worth continuing on or not after the first few laps. This seems to be one of them.

EDIT 2: @Doodle: I see you lurking, lol. Come on in, the waters warm. 👍

EDIT 3: I've been experimenting with the e-brake going into the first turn of those hairpins. I have gained a good bit of time by doing this. I'm not a big e-brake user so I'm not really that good at it yet, but if you can nail it just right, I feel a good bit of time can be picked up in that spot using it. Just an fyi to those that may be having trouble in that part of the track. Maybe not the best piece of advice, but its working for me so I just thought I'd pass it along.

Looks like I should actually put some time into this... 20 minutes is not going to be enough to be competitive eh? :P Hopefully tomorrow will yield something.

great car, horrible track, s3 just feels so clumsy. but anyway, my times:

25.032
23.322
19.432

150 LAPS !!!! seriously Al??? I hope you win. 👍

Not getting the results I want. I think I have fallen into a routine and can't get anything more out of the car. I think I need to try some different lines.

Al

Gave this combo a try and my best lap felt kind of nice until I looked on the leaderboard :)
Was absolutly shocked with my splits, I'm so far behind in each sector that I won't bother anymore about this combo.
I hope its just you guys getting faster and not me getting worse and worse. Did about a 100 laps with my best run in the first 50, no improvement afterwards.

Still nice combo ;)
Good luck to everybody running this understeer monster, BB was 6/10, which helped a bit with the understeer. Will not post any splits, because they are embarassing :(

Yo CR........ just a little bit of sanity to your frustrating effort, ahhhh the E-brake effort is just a waist of time. For one it induces huge unpredectability and inconsistancy in a world of razor sharp fine tunning efforts. Indy is a track that I'll bet I have put over 5k laps around and the first couple of a hundred efforts were w/ the E-brake deal in the first turn. It was in the Indy 500 Givaway contest about 3 or 4 yrs ago when I first started playing w/ GT. You have to have faith that you can wooooow up the pony to set up a little trail brake step out that just slips around the Unobtanium collumbs from hell and set your inside tires in the pocket on inside of the curb to redirect for the left hander and then the rest is easy. Good luk all 👍

Oops.... I just saw that your E-brake experiment was the S-eeez, it sukz there too  I D-stall that whole section w/ just a little trail brake. NGU dude...... Chaka

Better in the last two sectors, but I have no idea why I'm so freaking slow in t3. Might be out of time for this one.

Hey Lefty, thanks for your response and advice. Appreciate the wisdom. 👍 And yea, I gave up that whole e-brake experiment after adjusting my brake balance to 3/10 and changing my line going thru those esses. It seems as tho my approach entering that section was all wrong. Before, I was swinging wide to enter that section. Since then, I have changed my line to enter the section right on the curb which gave me a better approach to the left hander. Seems to be alot better. Thanks again for the reply.

Thought something might help ya out event if it was just the way ya look at the how to'z 👍

Looks like I'm toast w/ this combo, ol ghosty is just to consistent and I don't see him making any mistakes any time soon so I guess considering my work schedule I'm here for the plucking. I just hope my run for daylight can keep me on the podium w/ Momba rocket on my 6  so I'm just aaaaahhhh

Submitting and out >........ GL all

Lacking motivation this week.... Spent about 20 mins last Monday (current splits) but I haven't much enthusiasm for running it again. Might be time for a WRS holiday. I'll submit my time tomorrow anyway (thanks to the no-handicap-damage clause :sly:) so there's a few D2ers who might have me on the ropes. :P Dennis, Baron, Tim.... Best of luck guys.

Probably all that time you spent arguing with the morons in the hybrid threads. I wouldn't even bother with some of those guys my friend, they'll argue with you no matter how valid your points are. Seems this whole hybridding thing and PD's actions has turned this place into a zoo. I completely understand your points tho.

Anyways, if you do decide to take a holiday, have a good one and don't stay gone too long.

I haven't had much more time to run either so doubtful I'll be ahead of you... what little I've run has been full of mistakes and errors. In front of ghost I mess up, behind ghost I close in but not enough... My best splits are quite a bit ahead of my current lap, but my patience wanes... maybe one more go tonight, but I'll submit regardless.

I think I also need a holiday, these days I get less and less time to run these, and when I get time Im often not as motivated. Probably exhausted after quite a few TTs, but Al has done like 70+ so I shouldn't be complaining :sly:

Found some energy :) lost about 2 tenths in the last mile though:

Managed a faster lap even though splits are slower. Just wasn't able to beat it after an hour of trying. I know there's more time that I can get out of it.

Fustrated beyond believe right now. I am losing .100 to .150 from the last sector to line and have no idea why. I can be up on my ghost, but unless I'm up on it by .200 or more, I lose it all in that last sector. I'm really at a loss right. Tried all kinds of different lines through sectors 3 and 4, but nothing seems to help. AAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGG.

Yeah that corner is a total 🤬 - I lose my ghost there 9 times out of 10 and I don't understand it either, I have to get a perfect line in order to get on the gas at the right point for a fast and smooth exit. It's incredibly frustrating, I know - I can be up on my ghost in the first two sectors, then after the last two sectors I could be down by .500 or more. It's extremely annoying, and probably why I'm reluctant to keep trying to go faster. But I will try.
