I can't find the rhythm for the second sector, guess I'm not getting the right line! Any help?

Brake late for that first T2 corner. Go deep, turn sharply, and try to get on gas as soon as possible.

Next corner, brake when curbs on left start. Try maximizing track usage, and get on gas early again.

Next corner brake earlier than you think you should, making sure you hit the apex. If you are running wide, you are not braking early enough. Gas early.

Try to be smooth. If you're fighting the car, you will lose time here. Very easy to overdrive this thing.

Sorry for short answer on my phone.

Lost .09 in t1 and .17 in t3 so lots of work to do yet.

Oh boy, here comes the D2 boys  Nice T2, my normal T2 times are around that quick but like I said last night, I just can't seem to connect the dots 'round here.

Had a 260 sector 1 and missed the apex in sector 2 plus about .050 in 3 so maybe 3 tenths out there :scared: hard to put it all together.

Nice sector 2 baron 👍 just when I thought I could catch up to D2 leaders you guys pull away

D2 on fire this week, great splits guys 👍
Not sure I can keep up with you but I'll give it a try!

Took a quick stab at this one... fighting an understeer war in turns 3-4-5 to find those magic 18-lows... best complete lap so far:

18.554
31.646

Not quite able to match my previous T1 but better in the rest of the lap. New splits.

18.530
31.963

Earned 1 sec to yesterday's T3, I had completely wrong line there :)

18.311
31.191

Much, much better lap. Gained 2 tenths at the line.

Edit: Just checked the leaderboard, top 3 are within .009 and the top 5 are within a tenth!

That may be my last. I stopped being able to get T1 consistently for some reason. Hoping my T3 will stand up OK...don't think it was my best. Submitting these and may have another go at it tomorrow.

Nice job Andrew, I didn't think I would stay ahead of you for too long. We'll have to see if James or Ramon have another go at it.

Just looked at the leaderboard and realized how far I jumped up. Better check my aids and such to make sure I didn't do anything stupid! :embarrassed:

not a real TT grinder myself but thought i'd give it a go before wednesday race;

329bhp. Still miles off the pace it would seem!

Hey Matt, I'm not great at explaining things but I'll try to give a couple tips.

Make sure to brake early, in most corners I'm back on the gas by the time I reach the apex.

In the big loop, enter it fast and let the car push to the outside of the track, then cut in hard and aim for the exit.

Also, here's my tune.

14.5/3.0

3.0/0.0

lsd 6/18/6

Max aero. Kev's gears.

Got very excited when I saw these splits. Kept getting tighter and tighter as I worked through t3. So much so that I ended up being in the wrong gear for part of it. Somehow I still managed a very solid final sector and finished .123 ahead of my previous best.

18.234
31.222

Theoretically, there's .170 left in the lap but I doubt I'll get it.

Getting better slowly, not quite worked out sector two still. Feels like I'm taking it really well, but clearly there's more!

Edit: thanks for the settings Baron. I tried a slightly less extreme toe version, but it works pretty well. I also need to remember to stop trying to smash my way around this track with hammers and be smooth.

I think I can get somewhere around 49.750 - 49.850, so I need to work on the last sector a bit to make sure I get a decent overall lap. Pretty sure I won't be challenging the top 2 in D2 this week!

Nice Baron! 👍 I may try your setup tonight to see if that will help improve my times.

I was thinking the same thing. I've been away from the TT game so long I forgot how extreme setups get when chasing a magic lap without long run consistency and tire wear.

edit...
hmm.... faster in s1 and the end of s2... but such a mess in s3 compared to what I was using that my lap times rose by .6

more edit...
Blended setups. Got the bite and on-throttle oversteer I needed in s1 without hurting my s3 performance.
Still not comfortable with the late-apex line through the loop, though it's definitely faster than the inside line; so s2 could probably come down a bit.

-0.516 at the line :D
