Lol I tried this combo yesterday, but was only able to get 12.8'/12.9s (default setup).

Then I tried Pakka's tune.... and I don't think I even got through the first corner without totaling the car :sly:

How on earth do you guys manage to pull 12.0 off...

PS: T2 is much better, but that first corner....

T1: 20.000

Did you use Active Steering on strong?
The first corner is to be taken full throttle , no braking or lifting off whatsoever.

Sorry pEkka :)

I don't think I used Active Steering... I'll try that with on :)

I lifted/braked for the first corner, I think that's why I lost grip and found myself spinning all the time. I'll try flat out again tonight.

BTW: I guess your using the default toe/camber settings? As this wasn't changed your tune.

Thanks for the pointers mate :)

You might have seen the earlyer version of my 750 PP FGT setup where I didn't post full settings.

This is the latest where all settings were listed.

I've changed the toe settings to -0.20/0.25 for this combo
Also ignore the ballast settings , using max RPM shifting and full DF.

I tried your tune and I couldnt drive it at first either. hahaha

I bet the full downforce helps quite abit. Will try that and see how it is to drive. Before it was just crazy wild.

I learned to drive it anyhow but couldnt beat my OT with it.:)

Edit: Yep Pekka its a nice to drive tune with full downforce. So similiar feeling to mine. Wish yours was quicker for me. Just a few tenths slower thru the chicane. So use to my tune now didnt quite get the hang of yours Im guessing is all.

Hi folks!

We need a few more DS3 users on the board, GTP_viper84's leading the way.

Here's my tune, it basically MadMax's suspension and LSD but I changed most of the other settings. I don't get the sticky throttle since I'm only off the throttle for a fraction on turn 1 and then through the esses.

I use steering sensitivity set to -2. It seems to make the car less twitchy. I can get through the 2nd to last turn at full throttle but not yet turn 1. Also, ABS 1 and all other aids off.

Code:
[SIZE="3"]Suspension
10/-3
20.0/20.0
4/8
3/3
7/1
2.0/1.7
-0.24/0.34

LSD
5/15/10

Downforce
70/80

Brake Balance
4/6

Transmission - Set Max Speed to 390km/h (242mph)
6629
4392
3183
2401
1886
1544
1315
4211
390[/SIZE]

I'll try it this way.

12.476
13.360

I ran this car at the Indy Road Time trial last night, and no issues with the forced on throttle. I have stock settings except aero and top speed.

If I really cranked the wheel hard while off throttle, I could see the car forcing in a little bit of throttle to correct, but nothing like some of you guys are talking about.

Might be a combination of tune and wheel input, you really don't have to give this one much input to get it pointed where you want to go.

Kinda figured out the T2, too bad I have no time to continue, so this is it for today.

T1 12.062
T2 12.632

Horrible T1 but nice T2.

Thanks again Pekka, that has really helped with my T1 :dopey:

T1: 11.992
T2: 13.116

Improved splits, not an 11, but a much better T2:

T1: 12.036
T2: 12.791

Almost reached my limit. Maybe I can find 2 more tenths, but that will be very difficult.

The first corner is to be taken full throttle , no braking or lifting off whatsoever.

Taking the first corner full throttle is impossible with a DS3 in my opinion. You automatically lose at least 3 tenths in the first corner which is a lot on such a short lap.

Does the DS3 let you turn the wheels enough to overheat the fronts? You have to turn until they're just about to go red to make it around full throttle.

getting better at T2 hopefully start to knock it down over the weekend.

T1: 12.122
T2: 12.891

No it doesn't. I tried it with several settings but it's not possible to overheat the front tires at such high speeds with a DS3.

I have an issue with the first corner of the secon sector -
My foot wont lift, my brain tells it to but white line fever takes over!!!!!!
Try as hard as i might last night i had many attempts at running a faster second sector, need to take more of a slow controlled approach to this one i believe, if i can link it up i'll be right to submit.
Best of luck!

Cheers All !!!

I'm getting my front tires red big time taking the chicane , so I believe that's where a DS3 would be in disadvantage with my setup.
When I was driving with Sixaxis in GT5P I really had to force some drift in that chicane to get thru it fast enought.

Well done getting in the 11's at T1 , and getting in 12.7's at sector 2 . 👍

Also thanks for fixing that quoting bug. 👍

Here are my latest splits:

11.990
12.530

Incredible improvement after installing that tune everybody seems to use now ...

12.390
13.679

Full trot in the first corner and definitely no contact there.

Nice new splits and Im driving with my old 200 degree wheel I bought I now think for GT3 and not GT4 on the PS2. Its old. I couldnt get within 1 and a half seconds of you with a DS3 this time Im sure.

Check out these new wicked splits for me to T2.

T1: 12.051
T2: 12.615

Add them up its evil.:sly:

T1: 12.104
T2: 12.533

Tune tweak and it will do the same T1 times or maybe better? I dont know yet. I was trying to tune to do a better T1 and lightning struck thru T2. Boy did I gain some time this lap in T2.:)👍

T1: 12.073
T2: 12.538

Every little bit helps.

*SIGH*
It's still a mystery to me . . . .
Starting to improve but nothing worth posting as my T1 time appears to have slowed due to this modified set up tune??
I'll continue trolling for those last few tenths!
Cheers All !!!
