I don't know if I should focus on tuning this, or learning how to drive carts! Still couldn't find enough time to practice, I hope I'll make it.

Saw the car and had to have a run on this. :D
Let's see if I remember how to post this...

T1: 39.243
T2: 35.114

Basic mods, no tune yet. I am giving MT a try though. Might have a run with AT and see what difference it is making for me.

Nice splits Wes and Manuelos 👍 - I had a run last night and am about 0.3 off your pace. Not sure I'm going to carry on though; I find this track 'very frustrating' :sly:

39.052
34.630

Using MadMax's tune. What is that gurgling sound coming from the exhaust? Should I be worried? :odd:

Put in about 60 laps and this was the result...

T1 - 39.554
T2 - 34.768

Another 60 laps...

T1 - 38.949
T2 - 34.381

Tried Pekka's tune tonight...I like it 👍, but I used no active steering, BB 6/8, and torque 40/60, which gave me a lot less tail wag out of corners than his 30/70. Beat my time by almost 0.9, and I still have at least .250 to find in T2.

38.123
34.320

Liking the combo more and more. :)

EDIT: Nice T2 Al, looks like you're getting the hang of that twisty section. 👍

I notced that too, around 5-5.5k. Helps with keeping it in the sweet spot without looking at the tach.

The only thing thats frustrating me, is the first chicane. Or I'm hitting it head on, or I'm so damn close to the inside barrier that noticing contact with it is so hard to see, even in photo mode :scared:

I did the first runs with a standard car, not weight or engine modifications. It drives like a Golf in that configuration.

Changing everything the car becomes a lot faster, but it is not driving a Golf anymore.
I did not really get into the challenge yet, but the light and torque rich configuration is fun to drive.

Long story short tried 30 laps and never did a non redlight lap. Have no plans atm on trying this combo again. Cant say I wont either.

Putting the little blue smiley guy with the magically appearing hat at the end of this sentence just because I think hes funny.💡

Got the day off work so was able to have a blast this morning. Did two laps within eight thousandths of each other. Here's the best one.

38.589
34.197

First sector is getting slower as the second one gets quicker.

Yeah, I tested a lot of cars here, and none of them liked that chicane. It seems that the combination of N3 tires and the reverse version of this track make it quite a challenge. Not unlike the first corner complex at London Reverse.

Some of the other cars I was testing were FF's. While fun to drive here, the wheel spin was unbearable, with ~250 HP.

But now I have a lot of pimped out cars, including the newer Nissan March painted Midnight Purple with all the aero added. :dopey:

Decided to put some time into it this morning:

T1: 38.308
T2: 34.384

Just a reminder for new folks...if you want to "hide" your Golf time on the leaderboards, go run a lap in a faster car (I used the GSX/R that the top guys used).

Also this Seasonal Time Trial seems to add miles to the car, which I think is contrary to how the Week 33 Miata@Monaco Time Trial behaved, which was pre-Spec2.0.

very hard and surprised I got this far:

38.967
34.469

I concluded this is clean:

Getting better

38.252
34.382

Worse T2 but better the rest of the lap. There's more to come. (hopefully)

39.243
34.524

Exactly the same on the first sector as my last best...spooky. :odd:

T1: 38.565
T2: 34.278

Tough track to learn for me but now seems relativly easy. Finding a good in the ballpark tune sure helped out with the crash and burn problems I was having.:)

T1: 38.216
T2: 34.259

Using Manuelos/MadMax86's tuning
and got my first decent lap

38.232
34.370

But the tune is too extreme for my liking,
sure it's way faster and less understeering
but camber/toe 2.5/1.4 -0.25/-0.35 ???
how would that look in real life???

I hope I can "normalise" it and keep shaving off time (probably not)

Like a touring car... :P

Still not sure if I'm going to follow through with this event... its a strange dislike I have of Madrid in particular. The car is ok I suppose...a bit of a tank and the usual understeer problems. But anyway, here's some splits for now:

37.713
33.957

Seen a 37.633 as my fastest 1st sector and a 33.902 as my best 2nd sector so we'll see how the cookie crumbles at the end of the week... :sly: Great T1 Manuelos... and great T2 Wes. 👍
