Yes, the combo is done in arcade mode. The car you choose should be from the arcade car garage (which you cannot tune anyways). Just slap on some Sports Soft tires and you're good to go.

I would like to add something to this, the only thing you can change, would be the break balance.....

Hi all, gonna make this my first TT! Don't think I'm registered yet so I hope it's OK to post times but since I live in Tokyo and never did learn this track properly I thought now would be as good a time as any.

Just to make sure I'm getting this right... the car has to be completely stock? What is/is not allowed?

Based on my reading of the OP, I assume the car must be stock.

Yes, when you go into arcade mode, there are a couple of tabs to choose cars from, Favorites (Which are your GT Mode Favorites) and "Arcade Only", which is the tab you need to select this car from.

If you go to arcade mode from the main screen, choose the track, and then choose the car from the "Arcade Only" list, you'll be all set.

Thanks for the replies! Did a few laps and pleased with my initial time. Need to try changing the brake balance to see if that produces better results.

Where is the square curbing you speak of?

Sounds like something we would DQ for, so a good call. But want to clarify.

It's to the left right before turn one, just before you reach the red/white curbing. As you move left to take the right hander, it is possible to get your sidewalls against the curbing without hitting the hedge row.

Yeah, that's definitely a problem. It might even be an invisiwall.

Good call on tossing out that lap.

First splits messed up turn 2 and 3 so should be able to gain abit of time in there, nice combo 👍 only tried one car so far hopefully get time later to try the other.

Have tried both of the cars, in my opinion the choice is pretty obvious.

new splits ;

Yeh I have to agree with RacingWorld, I'm pretty sure there will be only one car used in this

That is possible,in the end one car is always faster, certainly with a different drive train.

The meaning of the keeping-the-car-secret is that participants have to try at least both cars.

All what matters is people having fun with nice TT combo :)

I also think I will be hitting my limits pretty soon, in my opinion it is a track that once you get all corners correct there is not much more to be found. I must admit I am quit familiar with this track.

new improved (D2) splits :)

Understand that ;) It will be also a challenge for some that once they found a good time in one car, to try to equal it with the other, if that would be possible ofcourse.

If that's literally what you are supposing, I would be willing to place a fairly large wager on the opposite. If only one driver needs to use the "other" car, I think our history in these types of events suggests the number will be much higher, particularly when the cars are this well matched on the combo. I would buy that one car will be more competitive, but not that only one car will be used.

True, I suppose it comes to down to driving style as well.. after testing both of them I knew immediatley which one I was going to use. But you know, people could go completely the other way and be stonking quick.

Just was not able to hit the perfect lap, saw a splendid sector 1 (14.644) and also a nice sector 2 (43.995) but could not nail them togheter, did improve on my lap time with 0.042.
Fun combo 👍

Edit; could not resist to give it another try, slightly improved :)

After getting fed up with blue cones this might be a good time to jump back into the fray and try out my new "home grown" race rig. Gonna make a big effort to move over to my DFGT now and this track was the one where I started doing well back when we ran the Takata here in week.....18 was it? Either way it should take down some of the learning curve for me with a track I know decently. Wish me luck! :D

I tried out the other car this evening and got faster, only to go back to the car I posted in my original splits and get even faster. I already shut down the "game room" and locked up the downstairs, so my newest splits won't be posted until tomorrow.

So I suppose that you blasted right by again! :sly:

Hello again everyone, been a while since my last T.T. as I have been heavily into online racing. However just last week I finally got myself a wheel, so I am back and needing a lot of practice :)

First Splits

14.727
44.702

14.640
44.120

Way lower than my last reported splits found alot of time in T3. Assuming theres much more to find.

After setting my initial lap time I cannot for the life of me reach or exceed it since. Might be a one and done kind of thing. Tried different bb settings and nothings working to my liking.

As soon as I post that...I do better...maybe I should always do that.

T1: 0'14.575
T2: 0'44.064

Need to improve my second sector. A little worse than my previous time, but overall better lap.

-My apologies EDK for the DP.

I'm getting faster one sector at a time... but they aren't all on the same lap. Picked up over half a second on this one even though my first sector is three tenths slower...

T1: 15.173
T2: 45.332

14.811
44.864

I think that is my first clean clean lap. :odd: Wish there was a setting where you can red flag laps if you touch any of the walls. You can slam into things pretty hard around here and still get a white lap.

Little better splits but much better overall time. I love this combo!!
