I may not be joining the fray this week - my body still thinks its driving the R10 and my efforts so far have been clumsy to say the least. Great turnout this week too and I'm missing all the fun. :(

22.788
18.823

Ever so slightly slower splits, but gained 0.17s overall.

Doing a bit too much drifting, but I haven't begun to play with the brakes other than turning the ABS on to 1.

23.091
18.925

Got into the 22s in the first segment with ABS 7 and bias 1/2, but mostly couldn't get the car slowed down fast enough in the following turn. The couple times I did, I messed up the final section.

Given the FetchBot isn't quite synched up to the new adds in the Registry, guess I'll have to try, try again tomorrow :-)

Another session, I still think there is a few more tenths left on the track. Very nice D4 battle going on this week! Well done Mr. Firecracker!!!!!!!

Thank you Sir!! I kept at this Lil Bugger and learned a little steering and throttle control. Never was a smooth driver, had to manhandle those huge CFR rigs. :sly:

Had another little session, this combo is very addictive

22.566
18.674

but then fluffed t3 and ended up only 0.009 better at the line, just to string all 3 sectors together now to hit my goal

Who invited you!! :sly:

Welcome Nick! nice times too 👍.

Haha! I still like to have a crack at the odd WRS! Great splits yourself Dion. 👍

I gave it another go tonight and found a few more tenths with these splits:

22.503
18.469

Heads up to everyone that the Online version of this race has been posted up, come have a look and sign up.

This should be loads of fun this week, the car has produced some very tight racing in past WRS Online races. :) As a matter of fact, it was the car used in the very first 3D3 race that the guys put on before we recruited them over to the team and made this official.

Nice to see you here, Nick. And some great splits you have there. 👍

Ooh, Aussie flags up there!

Better keep plugging away at this. I keep procrastinating for some reason...

Anyway, finally improved splits without a woeful T3:

New splits from my afternoon session:

22.914
18.633

Little improvement, saw a T1 of 22.7xx once. Starting to hate that first corner :)
B/B 1/3

I have a feeling this one could be very very very tight, one of those where you need to compromise T1 to get a better T2

Edit:

Looks like the ante has been upped in D3.

 I am humbled by this configuration. How some of you can shave three quarters of a second through that first split is mind boggling. I shudder to think how fast you go through the last two corners!

T1: 23.295
T2: 19.080

Edit

T1: 22.979
T2: 18.901

I am not sure there is much more improvement for me on this combo. Very possible that this is the golden lap for me.

Nice sector 2 time Al, I managed to improve 0.021 on my laptime, but I would be very happy with a sector 2 like yours. Hope I can still hit my perfect lap.

22.707
18.633

Matched exactly my previous best lap but this is more fluid all over the track :sly:
Still searching for a bit more than 3 tenths in the lap.

Okay, my exactly next lap was almost 1 tenth faster, with these:

22.675
18.621

And 5 laps after that, I shove another 8 hundredths

22.694
18.507

Did another 40 lap session. Set my best first sector, but still leaving time in sector 2, did improve my best laptime with 0.154 :)

Thanks, how about you give me your T1? Then you can have my T2! I have reached my goal for this week but might still have another go at it.

Wow, busy week! :) Very busy in D1... :nervous:

Wes, you're forgetting that you are an alien mate. Its me who's surrounded by aliens... :sly:

I've lost the plot in sector 2 again but got almost PBs in sectors 1 and 3, putting me up 0.04 at the line:

22.422
18.618 :yuck:

Looking for the 0.2 I lost in sector 2 and I think that'll be me done. Well, I may be done already but I'm going to keep pushing for that 0.2 anyway. Good luck guys.

Don't think I'll get much farther with this combo. Had a 41.2 but somehow I can't get the last corner no matter how I take it. Just too frustrating. I either get a great T1 and screw the lap at that tight left hander or get a good T1 and T2 and screw the lap in T3. Just the worst feeling losing around .3 seconds just because of the last corner.

22.791
18.739

Still having problems putting 3 decent sectors together...

Meh, submitted as on the board. Banging walls in an ugly little car ceased to be fun. :embarrassed: Excited to see how the order ends up at the top of D4. Guys putting on a good show!

Looks like the ante has been upped in D3.

I think D3 is Lefty's to lose really, just can not string it all together on this combo, did another session and ended half a tenth down at t2 but then clawed it back to end end up 0.011 better overall, might have to give up now though, ran almost a hundred laps yesterday but still keep ending up ~0.1 shy of my goal :grumpy:

Edit

Had another session and finally managed to hook it all up in the same lap, and up 0.3 quicker overall, submitting with splits of

22.513
18.625
