Bob spent some time at Indy last night braking in the car, I'm up to 236hp now and I almost caught my Kitchen Sink Special. What is the Max Hp so I'll know "thatz all she wrote." I figured that we will never see 450pp so it's only Hp that I would expect to see hitting some Max condition.

Lefty, this is getting a bit ridiculous. :ouch:

In the OP:

Power: 237 HP (After Oil Change, Added Parts and Full Break In. HP before Break In = 230)

It can also be at max at 236 so that's fine

I was using the setup posted by Chris for these splits. Not sure I can eek out much more time .

I wasn't getting anywhere last night, even after removing some children from my trunk, so decided to make a vid of how I've been starting out my lap 1's, to cross the S/F line at 128mph instead of 125mph (if you go with where PD puts you:dunce:).

Pretty horrible, I know. :P

If you use this tune buy the custom wheels. No idea if they actually changed the default tranny ratios but I felt they did for the better.:)

I just checked up and tested this, it makes a considerable difference in my opinion as the speed goes from 188mph to 192mph, this is significant because when using stock rims you will end up hitting the rev limiter in 3rd gear just before you brake for certain corners.

It seems to help with 2nd gear as well, for those of you still using stock rims I would change them as it is faster in my opinion as the gear ratios are improved.

I am really struggling with this, tried every tune in this thread but can't seem to go faster, and judging by my sector times my lap is very poor :ouch:

Finally, a significant improvement.

But I'll keep trying, of course.

Lucas: how come you're lagging, all by yourself and not even online :P
Btw, it bugs me too, this difference in the first lap, but at least it's not as bad as Daytona Road Course!

Weird, it wasn't doing that when I initially uploaded it, but then Youtube asked me if I wanted to do stabilization on it, I said yes, and maybe that's what messed it up. 👎
I'm a laggard. :P

EDIT: Fixed it.

Since I have gone through the constant revision of my setups I want to thank everyone who gave me your 2cents cause I finally have built something that could beat my Kitchen Sink Flyer. I'm running the Rutter/Plato special.

T1: 44.519
T2: 41.604

Well I had a good go with this car tonight, using Vagabond's tune and the Toyota.

Got some laps in before F1 practice. Not sure why the car isn't gaining power since the miles have been going up. It's at 231hp with 138.4 miles. Just changed the oil as well.

Changed to Jack's tune and, along with some improved lines, have got my time down to this...

Next session I'll try with new wheels to see if that makes a difference.

Had a nice session last night, really enjoying this combo 👍👍

Seen sub 44. and a 40.6xx on t2 but no way i can get together

Kevin mentioned it earlier in the thread...the miles you run in the Seasonal Time Trial may add miles to the car, but don't count toward break-in. Give it to Bob in the Indy 500 and it should go up.

Then that means I have to go to about 300 miles before the car is fully broken in. Not sure how it was decided that certain modes wouldn't count as actual mileage.

I know what you mean mate... consistency is horrible on this track. One tiny mistake and bang! there goes 2 tenths. :dopey:

New fast lap though:

44.084
40.766

New PB through sector 3 puts me up .069 at the line. Annoyingly, there's still at least 2 tenths in there through sectors 1 and 2. Chasing....

Slightly better sectors, found 0.240 at the line.

44.451
41.207

I do not think there will be much more out there for me, ofcourse I will keep on tryin' ;)

Did another 35 lap stint, managed to shave another 0.028 of my best time.

I hope you skip right to D2!

Might have to give up 2nd place div 4. Ps3 vidio output died. Looking into a new unit. I think my Hard Drive is Ok.

No Al, Div3 is a nice and active division, looking forward to join you guys. You have beaten me on several occasions so you should be able to do it again :) I thought you would love the competition :sly:

Sorry to hear, such problems are a *** in the ***

Here's my 2 cents:

44.305
41.375

Don't know how much time I'll get to spend on this anymore as my Doc thinks it is a major contributor to my insomnia. It looks like weekends only and then only 2 to 3 hours a day. Hopefully we can find another cause and I can get back to putting serious seat time in again.

I know what you mean, started playing last night, and before I knew it was morning, no use to go to bed now.... might aswell give it another go :) I have almost no time time to do a decent race in the week, so during the weekend I need to catch up to my addiction....

And so I did.....

The morning glory is bringing me nice things ;)

T1 almost the same, T2 improvement and 0.184 at the line 👍
Have to admit, lady luck is on my side, but then again in this phase of the battle, it is all or nothing....

Finally got it broken in, or at least very close to it as it's now at 237hp and 450pp. Not a car I could let bob drive as it's too enjoyable to drive it.

Not a big change in sector times, but the overall was better as I finally got through the final sector without making a mistake in the tunnel.
