Hope to get a chance to try this tonight, What are you guys running for a B/B?

Al

got about 10 laps in tonight. Felt like I was going too have too get out and push this thing up the hill after last week.

 I didn't even participate last week and I feel like I need to push it up the hill to the final corner

Kevin, this has got to be lowest horsepower, the slowest accelerating, the most god awful race car on the planet! Oh yea, it's not a race car, huh? But man is it a lot of fun to drive on this track. It's interesting to drive it on the curbs and feel the reaction. From the driving perspective it feels prety bland, but look at the replay in the, what do you call it mode? TV? Where it keeps changing the view, the car looks so fast and just jumping off the curbs! I am stoked!

I must admit, I feel like I have to get out and push it up the last hill but man is it fun! I have had a lap 4/10th's faster than this submission but I was at least an inch onto the grass with my front tire! DOH! Oh well that lap is still out there, I will have to go and find it again. I used B/B 1/10 ABS 1 for these splits.

I'd post it anyway, I like to use my fastest splits as motivation regardless of whether they are dirty

I would not post splits that you know are from a dirty lap. Your splits should reflect your effort from a lap you would be willing to submit.

We only post clean splits here, guys. No sense getting your hopes up or your rivals down, in the event you can't reproduce it clean. It's not specifically in the rules, but that's the spirit of the rules.

EDIT: Great minds think alike! :dunce:

I only do it if I feel I can reproduce it do it which I often always do, if I run tiny bit wide and running wide did not have an effect on the split being faster, if I outright cut a chicane on the other hand gaining a very obvious advantage I don't do it. It's just self motivation, and it's usually in the beginning of the week

I won't post anymore if it makes people mad

I only post clean splits, can't post what you don't have. A dirty lap is just a new motivation for me :)

To shift or not to shift. And when? Those are the questions. :mischievous:
I'd say shift around 6k or so...?

This is from GT Mode, from a car I bought (for $15k!), and removed those ugly wheel covers. Only mod was an oil change. FOR REFERENCE ONLY.

liking the car more and more, although I need to find a different strategy going up that hill, car seems to take ages to get there, What brake bias is everyone using?

Lucas, i kept it in 3rd gear the entire lap if that can be useful. It will carry more speed through corners and it has the torque, you will save the gear shift time from 2nd to 3rd as well. :)

I kept it in 3rd as well, speedo moved faster, 2nd seems like its more powerful but it's just empty noise.

Mike how are you approaching the hill?

I kept in 3rd the whole way for my splits as well. It's actually the first event where I thought I should probably change to manual

Going to try different BB settings later, still had mine on 5/5.

You've been doing automatic all this time? How do you survive with that?

I just find I'm faster with Auto with the DS3, can concentrate more on braking and the corners without fiddling around with a million buttons. I do alright :)

Hey Folks. Been a few since I've competed. I've been workin on my a-spec on this account and doing the 24 of LeMans on my other account, which is all I need for 100% game. I got burned with the update glitch and am now unable to fill my car with gas, Only good thing is, The AI is in the same boat. What an intense 49 mph race we have going on :scared:

Not sure I'll put the effort into to this one, will see I guess

I dont think anyone would get mad. No one would know that is was a dirty lap being posted. The rub would be when you were the fastest guy on the leaderboard, and then didn't submit because the lap was dirty or submitted something with entirely different splits. You can only use the line that you ran a last minute lap and didn't have time to post the splits so many times before people start to wonder.

No I don't post it if its that dirty. If I can't replicate it I don't post

Also. I have a question about clean laps. Just to clarify, if you have the two right side tires in the grass but the left sides are clearly on the rumble strips, then its still considered clean, right? I usually don't run it that close but I think that that is part of my problem, I'm trying to be too conservative and not using all the track. Thanks for the help, off to do some more laps.

Yes, that's still considered clean. There have to be at least two tires on the track (rumble strips included).
