I am loving this combo!!!
Nice work guys!
I can't post my times to show you (I don't think) but I'm using:
BB 3/7
ABS 10
Traction 3
I'm still getting small amounts of wheel spin if I get over zealous with the throttle but I have found if you keep gently feeding the brakes and throttle it can be very rewarding!!

Thanks.

You can post your splits in accordance to the OP.

Don't like this place too much it's hard to know where to turn especially the bus stop section.

New splits, I need some advice from some snippers over here, I have a section that's very close to being dirty, all my efforts to pause the game have show that there is at least 2 tires on track, I just need to try and stop for a picture maybe .001 before that moment which is proving very hard. Any tips on how to pause that quickly, is there a way I could move forward a frame or two?

Questionable moment

Edit: another weird thing is the yellow curb suddenly appears once you take a picture

I haven't run a WRS in ages, but as I'm off work for Christmas I thought I'd have a go at this one...

The bus stop is frustrating as ever... I remember pretty much everyone getting DQ'd there at the last board challenge

Nice sectors for 2 and 3 Mohit. 👍

Hey Chris, nice to see you running for Xmas. 👍 :) Gotta love that bus-stop. 💡

Another quick 5 laps before dinner. Getting a better rhythm with it already after the manic 20 laps from Sunday. Switched back to 5/5 BB....

A bit cautious getting on the gas exiting the hairpin onto the oval section after T2 and tip-toed through the bus-stop so plenty more to find on the lap. I think a 28.0 is possible in sector 1 if you nail it right.

Edit - apparently a 27.9 is possible...? :odd:

I have saved the replay just incase.
I'm pretty sure I have met all of the rules and regs.
I certainly didn't think my times would be that fast?
I'm definitely not an alien, maybe the track and car are a good match for me?

Thanks.

It's starting to get tricky... I've made improvements since my last post, but only by a tiny amount. My T1-T3 times are slower overall, so it's not really worth posting my current split times.

The main problem is T1; specifically the first corner. I just can't seem to get it right, and as a result even though I've improved in each sector, my T1 times are holding me back.

Actually, believe it or not the last TT at the Daytona Road Course (Week 69) had no DQs whatsoever (click here for the results page). You might be thinking of Week 34, where two of the top three got DQs for cutting the bus stop. No doubt however that it's resulting in a lot of quick laps having to be thrown away, I had to throw away a couple myself.
My splits.
T1 - 27.951
T2 - 24.235
T3 - 12.430

Wow, are those times real? Presumably the T3 time is a small typo, I'm pretty certain that sub-13 seconds in T3 is impossible.

Good to see you're still as fast as ever, Chris 👍

Phoenix.... Even more impressive than your 27.9 T1 is a T3 a whole second faster than anyone else. A typo?

I did think the same thing because when I have run in the back ground in the past weeks I have been down with the rest of the pack, which is where I expected to be.
This week however I have checked to see that i have the correct tyres and am in the right car on the right track, all correct.
So I have saved my replay and would love for someone to check it at weeks end just so I know i have done all the right things by the rules for future reference.
I'm actually hoping that the new drivers get posted this week so i can submit officially, but we'll see what happens.

Thanks Guys,

Thanks Guys,

Don't forget to check skid recovery, it's on by default in arcade unless you turn it off then it remains off.

Did you maybe have skid recovery force on? I did it once on a Gallardo WRS at Monza... forgot to turn it off after running a seasonal race in FWD cars (I had switched it on to make the races quick to complete).

I don't want to sound insulting, and maybe you are the next super alien, but to be a whole second faster on a 14.xs sector would be beyond the skills of anyone I've ever seen, and I've raced most of the fastest racers in the World at some stage over the past 5 years

Still pretty erratic though mate.. :sly:

...and I didn't even notice the 1 second faster 3rd sector there. Phoenix mate, that is impossible in any event. Its either a typo or something is very wrong.

@Phoenix, also make sure that you are running in arcade mode using the standard car...just a thought.

Hmmm, it is very possible that the settings have been changed by the young lad that uses my rig now and then.
I am fairly sure i checked Skid REecovery was off, but i will double check it. :dunce:
In any case it is probably a REALLY good lesson for me, better learnt now before submitting for real.
Thanks Guys,

Thanks Guys,

I'm not even sure that SRF would result in that kind of T3 gap, since it's basically just a flat out section on the oval. Are you sure you are using the "Arcade Only" car, as specified in the OP? Or is it possible you are running in GT Mode with tuning and a broken in car, or using that broken in car in Arcade Mode from your favorites?

I'm definately running the Arcade car in Arcade mode.
I will have a look at all of the settings tonight and have another crack at it.
I am sorry for all of the confusion but again, better to thrash out all of the mistakes now, if any, before I get accepted and start running officially.

I will keep my replay at any rate and have someone check it just to be sure if it's ok.

Thanks again guys.

Missed the apex in turn 2, so 28.2's might be possible in T1 for me. Very frustrating to get a lap together.

Well I just learnt a valuable lesson, always check the settings BEFORE you start.
I thought I had but clearly not.
A lesson learnt for me when there are little fingers in the house that like to tamper, take nothing for granted!
Sorry for the confusion guys.
Thanks for the assistance. Lucky for me it wasn't a proper submission.
Thanks.

Love being able to get back in the drivers seat. Just not a fan of the car but getting.

Great splits, Rob 👍

I forgot just how competitive the WRS is... the seasonal time trials seem easy by comparrison

Better to find out now 👍

Fantastic splits, Wes 👍

Not sure if I chose the right WRS to make a come back... I'd forgotten how much I hate Daytona! I'm hitting plenty of 0.1 T1's, but just can't string the rest of the lap together

T1 is my biggest problem, can't brake consistently enough and when I do I get so :nervous: at the bus stop I lost a lot there

Cleaned up the lap no questionable moments here :sly:

28.627

I'm laughing at myself here, part from relief, part from frustration

Spent a couple of hours lapping this afternoon and eventually managed to improve by 0.2.

Then out of nowhere, on an otherwise rubbish lap, I found 4 tenths in the bus stop and improved by another 0.2 at the line.

Splits aren't anything to write home about, so I'll not bother posting them, but I now have a good idea what my target time is :)
