Steward's Comments:

This seems like a tough combo on paper, but we really tested it all the way through to find that balance of tricky nature and drivability. Build a Supra and give it a spin, you'll have fun. 👍

Viewing your T1 and T2 Time Splits:

  • You need to make sure you save the 'Save Best Lap Replay' (ghost replay), not the 'Save Replay'

SaveBestLapIcon.png

Save best lap / ghost replay icon.

  • To view your best lap replay, go to 'My Home' and watch the replay from there using the 'Replay Theater' option.
  • While Viewing Your Replay, Choose the "Live Timing Monitor" To View Your Sector Times
  • To post your T1 and T2 Splits, simply post the sector times that are shown in the live timing monitor.
  • The WRS Fetchbot has been updated and will now add your splits together!

Standard Clean OLR Rules:

  • At Least 2 Tires must be in contact with track at all times.

    • In situations where contact with the track is not possible because tires are airborne (above the ground), then the run is only legal if two tires would have made contact with the track if the car were not airborne.
    • If track contact cannot be 100% determined, then consider it dirty.

  • Rumble/ripple strips are part of the track. Concrete sections bordering the Rumbles are not track
  • No contact with walls or objects, visible or invisible
  • If you're not 100% sure that your lap is clean, then consider it dirty
  • No hybrids
  • No cheating of any kind, these are relaxed races and we are experienced racers, we know what times can be done, and we can read your mind.We will know.
  • Nothing that goes against the spirit of the rules
  • Save your best lap/ghost replay

Thread rules:

The following information cannot be discussed in this thread (they can, however, be discussed on MSN or via other private conversation methods):

  • Any information which can be used to infer your total laptime

The following information can be discussed in this thread :

  • T1 and T2 times
  • Any settings discussion.

Number of splits: 2Submission:

All submissions must be sent by PM (Subject title: GTP_WRS Week 99 Submission ) to (WRSFetchbot):

  • Please submit your time in the following format on a single line:
    Time: X'XX.XXX
    (Example-)

  • Users can ask the bot for the current submitted time by sending a message with the body: "get entry"
  • Users can delete their submitted time by sending a message with the body of "remove entry".
  • If multiple times are submitted, only the last submission will be counted.
  • Please include in your submission PM your final lap time
  • The deadline is Monday, January 14th 11:59pm GMT
  • If you are unsure of the deadline try this site

Why Use GMT?:
GMT is World Time and the basis of every world time zone which sets the time of day and is at the centre of the time zone map. GMT sets current time or official time around the globe. Most time changes are measured by GMT. Although GMT has been replaced by atomic time (UTC) it is still widely regarded as the correct time for every international time zone.

Time verification:

Save your ghost replay and keep it at least a full two weeks after the event's deadline:

  • Racers, named by the OLR Admin staff, (if any) will be required to submit a replay for verification
  • Any submitted time is subject to a time verification request
  • When a time verification has been requested, the concerned racer must provide the correct replay within seven days of the request
  • Failure to do so will result in the removal of the unverified submission from the results table
  • Video replays are not accepted as a form of verification

Lots more time to get, but it's a start. I think I had a total of about ten laps on this track before today.

Car drives better than I thought it was going to, really fun.

I'm not even toughing this one. How you guy's can be 40-45 seconds faster in sector 2 is amazing! :ouch::grumpy:

Little and I slapped each other around for a while playing "Bottle Caps" and I finally put something up he couldn't catch :)

T1: 46.243
T2: 82.526

Nice start Baron 👍

Remember advice and tips are always freely exchanged here... If you're struggling, maybe we can help..?

OK some splits from me now using the correct specs :dopey:

45.560
81.537

I don't think I'll be doing a 44.9 1st sector with stock gears but it seems to make less difference through sector 2. Now to start finding the limits...

Just to be sure.
I need to have downloaded the paid track expansion to be able to run this one right?
Apologies for the rookie question, but i have never run SPA before.

Thanks in advance.

Yeah that's right. Trust me its worth it - Spa is one of the finest tracks in the world and hugely rewarding to blast round in almost any car. 👍

No need to apologize, that's what we are all here for.... after racing of course ;)
You will need to purchase and download Spa if you want to drive there. The track, all by itself is by miles the best DLC GT5 has released (my opinion :))

Edit: tree'd by Chris :( but the message is the same - Fantastic track, and totally worth it 👍

After breakin and added parts I have 322hp and 472pp. That's with 300mi on ODO. The car comes without a Turbo, even it's called a "3.0 GT Turbo A"??

No it does have a turbo as standard.

Here's my setup (again) - as before but with gear ratios removed:

supra30gtturbo.jpg

Found some more grip, confidence, and that 44.9...

44.982
81.227

Surprising once you start to feel where you can get on the power. 1st sector video on the way if anyone requires...

Thanks Chris. I'm still at a loss as how I'm soo damn slow in T2 with a 1'25.xx time! Even for me it seems unusual.

Nice vid Chris.

I figured you'd get to the 44s again, I had a .291 and thought with a little more skill than I possess, it could probably be done.

2 Rounds Test to check car and track. Not driven in yet.

A bit more...

45.051
81.010

Surprising how much traction there is if you're a bit careful with throttle application. 44.9 1st sectors are not as common as I'd like and I think there's another tenth or 2 in sector 2 but still having good fun with it, which is paramount. :sly:

First laps:
T1: 45.252
T2: 80.427

T1: 45.027
T2: 80.229

I had weather changeability on 10, so not sure if the surface water percentage was any lower.

Thanks for the tune Chris, where would I be without you...:sly:

Nah, I would pick up my 'tuning skills' but I'm glad that's not necessary.;)
I was joking Wes.... everyone knows you're welded to your wheel. :D Nice sector 2 as well... inspirational. 👍

You're a damn fast carrot to chase. :sly:

45.013
80.655

I wouldn't have thought that was possible earlier. I also nearly pulled off a 44.815 1st sector but cut Eau Rouge a little too much... still, a clean 44.8 should be possible. There's at least another tenth or 2 in sector 2 as well. I'll be saying that all week probably. :P

Ron, Fetchy is confused by your time - you'll need to post your sector 2 as seconds - ie 82.640 👍

T2 is still a big problem for me.
