This. 👍

First I needed a PS3 update 4.66 and then GT6 1.14 , took over an hour to get in the game.

There's a update for PS3 out? Gee wiz, what kind of useless feature did it add?

Never mind, it's system stability.

I was going to try and make it tonight, hopefully I'll get the updates done in time.

For today's EU race, I created a test lobby in the GTPlanet club. That club is public, so you can just join and then you must be able to see the lobby. If anyone is having troubles, please write it in here so we can switch back to the old public lobby with a lobby number.

Edit: Left to do an oil change. Will be back up shortly.

Edit2: Lobby back online.

We will be using the Community Club feature to host the NA race tonite. Just follow these instructions, I will post in this thread when the room is ready.

For those having a problem finding the GTPlanet club in the "Communities" section, it's at the top of the GT6 main forum, or simply search for club ID 1000002. @Famine set it up as soon as the servers came back online after the 1.14 update, so it's the very first club set up.

Just as a reminder, you'll need both GT6 1.14 and the PS3 system 4.66 updates to race tonight. If you haven't already picked up both, I recommend doing so now so you're ready at 10 Eastern/9 Central/8 Mountain/7 Pacific.

Spending the night walking a horse who is trying to colic....rather be racing....its cold out here....

Great Race. Qualified 2nd which surprised me a lot. I was just trying to get a tidy, unambitious lap, and I got the same time as in the TT  Got to lead until the pitstop, which is a first of course. Strong pressure by Stephen, Joe and Patrick, but surprisingly, I didn't crack. Of course the track helped as it was very difficult to overtake without somebody making a mistake. But by lap 20 I was amazed and getting really nervous, but somehow I managed not to mess up my race. Those intense battles, to the limit but fair, are what I enjoy the most about WRS online.
Finished fifth after the pitstop, could have been sixth, but Eric made a mistake and went wide after finally being able to overtake me at lap 45 I guess.
The race is late now for me (midnight) and there are no distractions. Love to be racing when everyone else is asleep...
Great Fun guys :gtpflag:

It's a shame I did not have the time to run the TT, but the EU race yesterday made up for it. The Z8 is such a fun car, to drive it right on the ragged edge of a slight drift on older tires is exactly what you'd expect of this bruiser.

Have to confess something here: Much of my performance was a result of watching the replay of the EU race and trying to copy Bart's lap as much as possible. So credit where credit is due: Thanks for the streaming bart 👍

Same here, I benefited from watching the stream of the Integra race. I learned how to take the uphill left turn in the final sector (Apricot Hill) faster and it paid off in the NA race.
