Power blacked out for a minute... just return but christ almighty I hate my landlord for not pre-warning me.... he switched the generator over to the main supply when it was all ok.

Also, @ERAZER ease off on an outlap please... got distracting keeping tabs on the gap shrinking.

Any other support races? I need to get that sub 7 min lap I know I can get..

Guys, been thinking about it, but I am not going to do this event.

The speed difference is just to high, can't see the lmp cars on the radar and I need a lot more expierence I think.
I do wish you guys a whole lot of fun though!

I do not want to be the "hazzard on track" and perhaps bowl someone out of the race.
We think the C room for the Sunday main event may not have LMP cars in it.

Does that change your perspective?

I think I'll try to set the system up through LAN instead of WIFI, may be more stable if more devices connected to my network (3 phones, laptop, Set-top-box, PS4...)

And thinking of setting up the live stream too (well, no one could be interested to look at slow inconsistent driver, one never knows), for future races, so LAN could help I think.

I am, every Wednesday while at work I turn on a live feed if someone is live. I don't care if your fast or slow, I like to see how other people attack the track, and your faster than me I believe.

LAN will definitely help.

And if you can wire direct to modem (bypass the router entirely), that's even better.

Yes, 2 more on Saturday, registration and details is one post further down the thread from the first support races.

I am newly using the PowerLine extenders mainly for the fiber TV service, as my modem is in other room, yet tried to put cable to the PS4, it works. As i've been told this PowerLine kit is a solution for my case rather than pulling wires all over the house. And that it should be the same as direct cable. Will see after few sessions.

Edit, rest of the race I watched Bart's stream, that was a close finish.

Apart from the argument from @EDK , I can tell that ANYONE that has the mindset that you express, will definitley NOT be a hazard on track.
The speed difference may be high, but trust me, we have much more awareness of your car's speed and direction than you think, as long as you dont do any sudden unexpected moves, we will get past without difficulties.:)

Also I need to do more practice races, today was absolutely awfull. got to grips with the car towards the end, but for the majority of the race I had no feeling at all, and the misstakes was coming in thick and fast.

Support Race 2, room A, recap from my perspective: Awesome race in the begining but made two mistake which costed be an interesting battle with @Fastas .

I planned on a 2 stopper (3x2x2 laps) strategy, hoping for 7 laps - racing the 911 RSR.

Started P2 behind Fastas, and stayed within 1 second for three laps putting pressure on him, while saving fuel when drafting (short shifting and ease of the gas on the straigts). We pitted at the same time on lap 3 and I could see I saved 3% in comparison, while we both waited the 5 min.

I changed tires and fuel to 71%, got out around 10 seconds behind Fastas and the chase was on. I gained 4 seconds on him on the outlap untill I spun out just before the main back straight, losing 17 seconds and now 23 seconds behind :(. The chase was off, but had to continue trying.

I had gained a bit again, before I pitted on lap 5, as I was 16 seconds behind now. Fuel from 1% to 70%, no tires and came out 37 seconds behind fastas, who didn't pit. The LMPs passed on my outlap and I knew it would only be 7 laps and expected fastas to either change fuel map or pit on lap 6. He pitted while I was 32 second behind and came out 8 seconds ahead and we're on the final lap.

I gained a bit again until the karrusell where I spun out, going from 5 second behind to 11 second behind while @mr_lab_rat was coming from behind, so couldn't afford any more mistakes. Fastas won with 10 seconds ahead and I crossed the line with 0% fuel and no gas for 2 seconds before the finishline :D

Great race though and very clean passes by the LMPs!

Wish I could join the 2.4h race.

I hope you'll reconsider Bas it would be a shame for you not to participate especially as this one is the 15th and all of our OLR staff are really trying so hard to make sure that everyone has an enjoyable experience. At least look at the room splits when they are finalised as @EDK suggests 👍

Hey guys. Couldn't make it to the EU run because of the wonderful New York City traffic.

However, me and this baby will be there for tonights NA run :gtpflag:.

Tried my best to replicate this livery which was an actual special livery for the 15' car commemorating the 1970 Porche 917-KH (Shortail).

I’m just watching my replay; focused on Mohona. I can only say thank you for such a close race, early doors. I was a bit baffled and, relieved to see you exit the pit later than me on our first stop. After three laps with you sat 0.5 seconds behind me, I was wondering if it were a matter of time before one of us made a small error.
I say behind but, we traded places twice and ran side by side too, literally and otherwise.
I ran a 3-lap strategy, pitting twice. The first stop was slick; jumped out the seat, fixed a G&T, checked on the kids and, unlike Button, didn’t wet the seat.
After a second stint, running on fuel map 2-3, enjoyed the free air and brought her in again for an over-fuel and new shoes. I absolutely didn’t need the shoes or extra fuel but kind of missed my running partner from the first stint and took advantage of the time gap.
The last lap, seven, was a bit squeeky-bum, anticipating the attacking Mohona, but I put in a clean one to bring her home for 4th and class win.
Best bit of replay so far: watching Bart lampoon the pit entry wall  sorry mate but it had to be shared!
Thanks again all for the race.

And thank you :) Very good consisdency - I'll try a G&T next time as well :D

Well, I could not find a rhythm to save my life in room B today. When I thought I had it, it would fall apart. I made WAY too many mistakes. I found it in the little 2 lap one we did after :banghead:. Doubt I will have time to run another one. So, my time will have to stand.

Had fun as always. Look forward to the 2.4. It should be a fun event!

What matters most... I did not have any connection issues! :gtpflag:

Edit: hmm, I could try streaming sometime. I don't think anyone would want to watch. I make a ton of mistakes

When I took my 5 min break... I jumped out of the seat, ran to the restroom. Grabbed a water and ran back. Still had 3 mins left . Now I know I don't have to run next time.

@Koutch_Pro as @ERAZER said. We know how fast we are approaching. Its best when everyone just maintains their line. The sudden moves (cough @GTP_Nail ) is what messes us up. As long as you don't change your line, we will pass right by when we feel it is safe. I will stuff my car before I hit someone, well at least try. I had to when I approached @Argon cause I was afraid I would hit him.

So did you intend to not stop or did you miss your first pit? I was really surprised to see you make that small amount of fuel stretch all the way around the lap! Hybrid indeed!

In the practice room now
