General Guidelines:
  • Contact with walls should be avoided. Wall riding/bouncing to gain time will be penalized and/or can result in disqualification. This includes pit entry/exit.
  • Rumble/ripple strips are part of the track
  • Runoff areas are not part of the track.
  • If you overrun boundaries by accident, lift momentarily to make sure you don't gain any advantage.
  • Do not complete a pass that was made possible by going outside track boundaries.
Its a shame that it isnt possible too save the qualifying , but none the less I think its very important too show some off the guidelines used regarding track boundries , now that we are going too Monza ......

How can I join the room, I registered and everything

Have you joined the WRS Registry, you need to send a replay in so that your psn is register'd, here is the link https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/gtp_wrs-registration-gt6-new-members-start-here.313756/

Once you have done that (or if you already have) please fill this form in so we can so we can add you to the online database, link https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1...mkey=dDNxQVNiOG5fbkQxUGU3RHhNTXFXbGc6MA#gid=3

Once you have done the above a club invite will be sent so you can join the room.

Alright, thank you I didn't realise that I had to fill out the online database form, but I have now

Sorry guys got DC'd. I didn't try to come back so i wouldn't I messed up the room.

I weren't too happy while we raced , about the way ppl had been chosen for the 2 rooms , but in the end I thought that it had been lucky enough for me .....

But none the less I would like too susgest iff it should happen again that there shall be 2 rooms that it will be the overall championship standings that will deside who shall be in what room .....for example iff there are 18 ppl all in all that want too drive then the top 9 in the overall standings will be in one off the rooms and the rest in the other room

Loads of fun guys 👍

Just picked the wrong car for race two. Was out of the box, with no setup and TC at 5. Was quite an handfull. Great driving Javier and Kevin.
And that explains why you never caught up with me in the Impreza...

Racing yesterday was a lot of fun, thanks for having me. For next race I'm scheduled to work on Saturday again so unless something arises to prevent me from working, or being elsewhere, I will not be at Silverstone.

Thanks for the great racing and best of luck to everyone in round three. 👍

They usually split the rooms based on your wrs division, but the problem is there are several drivers like yourself that are ranked lower than what they should be and the only way to get promoted is by making the time to complete the weekly time trials.

I have noticed they make exceptions though, some of the unranked drivers who are known to be quick have instantly been selected into the first room. I agree with you that having two sets of results and combining the times isn't great for obvious reasons but I can't think of an alternative solution.

Consider too the extra workload two rooms imply for Stewards. They are the most interested in keeping things simple, but sometimes compromises have to be made. If we had split rooms based on positions yesterday, at least three D1S or above drivers would have been in the same room with the ones at the bottom of the standings, making that a very uneven lobby. It would be great to have strict rules and preserve the fun factor at the same time but it's not always possible.

I disagree. In cases where the race is a single event the split by handicap plus a little common sense is valid. However in a multiple race series the handicap by itself is inadequate as we saw yesterday when the fourth place driver was sent to Siberia.

I UNDERSTAND...that split yesterday was an emergency procedure at best and a midnight fire at sea at worst. What I say IS NOT a criticsm of the split yesterday it is a suggestion for the future. max and Lars are a perfect example.
Max admittedly is first room fast but had ony done a small part of the previous event so he ended up in room two. But his presence muted nice finishes by guys who love to race but are not a threat for normal overall wins. Lars and Max vanished and left the rest of having fun but relativlty meaningless races.

Lars is also first room fast and was in fourth place in the series. Huh? What was he doing in room two. Now it might be interesting to see he fared overall but there is little doubt that he would have been faster in room 1.

Proposal Basis for future Race series splits.

First Race. Splits by handicap plus Steward additions based on known performance.

Subsequent races. Assignment to be determined by series standings plus a number of drivers assigned by steward selections For Room 1. I would suggest the top 6 in the standings and then the remainder by steward selection.

The reason I suggest the top 6 is that in the first event finishing order below that is often the result of opportunistic results based on the circumstances of racing. My 10th place after the first weekend was only partially due my getting SLIGHTLY quicker..,it was mostly due to others falling off. Did I belong in room 1...not a chance in the hot place

Remember this is a suggestion, which in all likelyhood you have already cogitated on.

Hey guys,

First off all I want to apologize to the way the room split went yesterday. When reading back these comments I see that I / we could've done a better job at it. Since some fair points are being made. However we didn't anticipate a room split (mistake 1) which caused us to think on our feet because of the time (mistake 2) and decided these would be good room splits. For Silverstone we'll be better prepared in advance and I think we will handle roomsplits there based on championship standing first with an eye on division aswell. It's always a bit of a compromise and there will always be an small advantage for some and a small disadvantage for others. Lessons were learned and noted. Thank you guys for the feedback hope the roomsplits didn't tip the funscale for you guys over.

nope on funscale...a hour racing trumps ALMOST everything else you can do while fully clothed.

I think I must also apologize for the quick split yesterday, I believe I was the catalyst for that.

Driving without clothes isn't that hard to imagine, just make sure you're in the boonies and don't get pulled over.

nope, you weren't we had more than 16 drivers so that meant we had to split.
