It seems reasonable that next Friday (or in the near future) the online races will be renewed.

After the switch I would like to make another wrs online race because on some days I saw many old and new racers on track.👍

Don't know yet if it will be a single car or a class and or that you guys even want a new race.
Personally ,I thought the format was/is great and a good to have along the normal wrs races.

I went out a few times over the weekend and it was pretty sad. Just a whole bunch of guys in Integras without much of a clue how to drive Suzuka. I was winning a little too easily considering I'm a few seconds a lap behind the really fast guys on this course.

At least the racing seemed a bit cleaner than I remember, the ones that did get close were prepared to be patient and not just ram me into the sand at the first opportunity.

I would like to see more online/free run races in the future also. 👍

I can see the problem for the NTSC racers,

empty grids,little tagged drivers.

In the pal region we have plenty of GT forums with still some reasonable activity regarding online racing.

or the NTSC racers of this site have to be more organised or a pal copy can do the trick.

Better would be a professional word event again, :)

I've been thinking about switching to PAL, I know some others have done this who are US based. GT5p is heavily weighted in favour of PAL racing, I guess Merkuns are only interesting in drafting around ovals.

The only issue might be latency. I get tired of watching cars zigzagging all over the road in front of me but somehow managing to post super fast lap times.

I think PD needs to make their correction/catchup a bit more gradual. If you suddenly realize the car is ten feet right of where it should be do you

(a) Instantly swerve left to get back on correct line.
(b) Ignore it because who cares where the car is on the track.
(c) Gradually correct the line using smooth and gradual adjustments.

Sadly PD seem to think (a). They're probably argue they're trying to be as accurate as possible, but really guys, when you've got half a dozen cars swerving all over the track (when they're really driving in a straight line) you're lost the battle completely.

I purchased my PAL copy about 3 months ago, and now do approximately 95% of my online racing there.

Lag can be an issue, but depends more on host than location. In general, racing has been equally smooth racing PAL as racing NTSC.

The main issue is that, being a West Coast resident, when I get off work, most of PAL is sleeping. However, there's good racing to be had on the weekends. 👍

What he said. :D

I've had my PAL copy since a month or so after the release of GT5P.

Connection issues and LAG seem to be equal between the 2, for region locked events. The world events are an entirely different issue. They are definitely unstable.

I generally only use my NTSC disk for online play on weeknights, or if I want to have a race with someone who only has NTSC.

It was very lonely last night are you guys racing somewhere else? Or you’re all busy with other WRS’s.

Hey, had some fun races with you over the last week.

The WRS event that the Mini was linked with ended on Monday, I doubt many will still be doing Mini's at Suzuka. To it's success, I think we'll definitely see some more WRS online events in the future, certainly hope so.

Thanks Sureboss:tup:

I must say that since I've join this forum I've had a new lease on life. I suppose I should get round to qualifying to join the WRS's. So I can find the good fair drivers.
