Seems like there's a trend of people posting up their own replay but not bothering to check anyone else's. I've done 7 or 8 already... come on chaps, pull the old fingers out. đź‘Ť

I just uploaded mine last night before heading off to bed. Going to try take a look at some tonight, but not having validated any replays before, a little "what to look for" would be nice. I guess for now as long as they stay on track they're valid ;)

Also if someone looks at my replay, feedback is appreciated :)

That's about it... 2 wheels on (or vertically in line with) the track at all times, no barrier collisions, listen for standard exhaust note, and verify the lap time matches the submitted one for that ID. :)

I've tried to check about 5 replays and had no luck so a bit of info on how to load replays onto PS3 would be appreciated. i can't even get my own one to work when trying to retrieve it from post as a check to see what i'm doing wrong.

Unzip downloaded file
Make sure file/folder structure is as follows:
PS3->SAVEDATA->BCES00569-RPL00x->(files)
Copy PS3 folder to a USB device
Plug USB device into PS3 and go to Save Data Utility in XMB menu
Open USB device in the menu and copy the replay(s) to PS3
Start GT5
In replay theatre, select Import
Copied replays will be listed - copy them to GT5
Copied replays are now available to view in Replay Theatre. đź‘Ť

The "r=X.xxx" is your "rating" or "handicap" for this week's submission.

Rating maps directly to division and to medal within division. The whole number is your division (2 in the example you gave) and the remainder maps into thirds for the medals (0-.333 for gold, .334-.666 for silver, .667-.999 for bronze).

Sorry Vaxen, I'm still a bit :dopey: If this is my handicap result

36--1'05.063---GTP_Mignun r=1.909 (d1/-0.600)

How am I being placed into the D1 category. Are you saying that I matched times that D1 drivers should be performing?

I'd like to take this opportunity to offer a huge round of congratulations from the Race Admin team and the whole community for overall winner GTP_JoshMuggo on his debut, to flying Finn GTP_Sutuki and multiple previous WRS winner GTP_eclipsee for rounding out the podium with similarly spectacular laptimes. Josh, Ali, Ramon

Further congratulations go to divisional winners GTP_osrg (Division 2), GTP_Plattsy_77 (Division 3), GTP_DODC (Division 4) and GTP_G30_Hellas (Division 5) for superb performances in their respective divisions, especially when considering the sheer number of competitors these guys were up against this week.

I hope you can all take enormous pride and pleasure in contributing to the most well-attended WRS event in GTP's illustrious history.

This one's for you:

You are right.

Look at post one:

>> Division 1: Par: 1'04.495 Gold: 1'04.703 Silver: 1'04.912 Bronze: 1'05.120

So your 1'05.063 is between 1'04.912 and 1'05.120 so Div 1 Bronze material.

You might not be classified there, but your time is of that category.

==================================

From my analysis:
(d1/-0.600)
is linked to your handicapped result (or better the other way around)
29--1'04.120---(-0.60036)---GTP_Mignun

you did better then your handicap (-0.600) from there that your handicap time is lower then div 1 Par: 1'04.495

I downloaded, un-zipped and put Rudi_Rasers lap on my PS3, it was in my GT5 replay folder and all looked fine, yet I couldn't see it in the replay theatre. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

You may have to use the Import icon to import from XMB into GT5 replay theatre đź‘Ť

Could be a PAL/NTSC conflict? I did one of those earlier.

Edit: Ninja'd and with the right answer too.

(where do you get those flags from ?)

Just right click on the Flag in another user's post or in the first post, and click "Copy Image Location". Then click the "Insert Image" button when posting, and paste the URL into the box. đź‘Ť

NEED HELP ! , trying to view some of the posted replays and when i put them onto USB then into PS3 it keeps saying CORRUPT DATA ?? . I even tried to save, un-zip and play my own replay that i uploaded and even that says it is corrupt . Can someone please post the correct method to view posted replays .
thanks mick.

It's basically the reverse of this -

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=176743

The parts where you might be going wrong -

1. Make sure the replay is a sub folder of the folders PS3/SAVEDATA.

2. DO NOT open the folder with the long name, and try taking files out of there and pasting into another folder. Copy the entire folder, and paste it into the path above on your flash drive. Don't try re-naming it. If you have the same replay name and don't want to over-write on your PS3, use a different account for viewing the replay.

Hope that helps.

Read the bottom of the first post. Tells you everything you need to know. It's the same as verifying that your own replay is clean, with a few extra steps to make sure the correct event was used, etc.
