p.s. interesting that when re-reviewing your own lap after the heat of competition has died down you start thinking I'm sure could have pushed this more -- forgetting that when you did car went off track or lap was invalid !

Some feedback:
- Try to find visual references for your brake markers and practice hitting them regularly. That helps you find the ideal spot to start braking and stay on the brakes until the turn in phase of the corner. Then you don't need to brake a second time shortly after you released the brake before the corner.
- Being precise with the controller is a hard thing to manage, though you might gain time using more of the width of the track on some corners.

What you are describing on my replay is something I noticed when watching any of my replays and it gets to the end. It never finishes it just hangs.
I may be guilty of exiting the next lap too soon to save the replay????
I'm going to go take a look at it now.

EDIT: checked it on my system and I does the same thing you are describing, it freezes right at the start finish line at the end of the lap.

Thanks for the feedback! Both the things you’ve mentioned I have been aware of & am working on improving my technique with this weeks time trail.
I knew I was cutting it fine on turn 2 but I scrutinised the replay from every angle before submitting my time to make sure it was still just about on track.
