I am not laughing

Comments on grammar from a non-native English speaking person is insulting.

Sjaak, your English is so good that I forgot you weren't a native speaker!!!

That said, free, open, optional, "driver's choice" all get the message across well enough.

+1 👍

Yes, when it's done. I feel there is more in it yet. :)
Can't wait for it mate :)
And seeing your lap I gather you got your tune pretty much figured out

Steven, Sjaak

I'm back from the dead
Good to have you back Hai!

It helps having tuned it before. Gives you a better place to start, especially since the default settings are rubbish. That said, don't waste time with my old tune, it will not work that well over here. ;)

Hadn't thought of that, certainly wasn't intended, just meant to be a bit of tongue-in-cheek fun, sorry. 👍 Especially given the GTP_tag thing. Certainly nothing wrong with your grammar. I had actually thought I'd put a cheeky wink with the post, but I hadn't.

This looks like a mad combo, the car seems quite powerful, prefer HSR reverse as opposed to normal.

This week you have no freedom in choosing the AI strength.

The AI strength have to be set to 1

I know drafting a Viper will make the car faster that is also the reason everybody have to race with the same AI.

BTW tire choice for the AI is free

Thanks, I didn't notice that. I'll compete in this one for sure then.

I really like this combo, it feels fast.
First 2nd lap of my fastest race for this week.
Run with R2\R2 tires.

1'06.226

First laps to set up a tune to survive me through the corners brought ...

1'07.849

Very anxious to see what tune Lars will come up with. Here's mine so far:

AI=1, compound=N1
power +3/weight 88
compound R1/R3
wings 20/34
rh -15
shocks 4x5
camber 1.5
toe -.5/+.5
angle 33
tcs 2
abs 1
tranny default
final 4.000

Notice that when you have the tranny at default/4.500 there is a slight hesitation in speeding up at the start line, resulting in a different situation in the first bend. If you slide back to 4.000, there is no such hesitation and it's easier to overtake car in position 4 on the inside and numbers 3 and 2 on the outside. The leader is then in position to draft before the second righthander.

Havnt had my registration verified yet but I'm hoping to have that done by the end of the event at least. Gonna try and record at least a base lap time to work off of. Seems like everybody is doing well so far, lookin forward to my first event :)

I'd never driven the Blitz before so my first attempt used minimum weight, maximum downforce, R3's tires all around, and I think +6 on power to get to 770PP. The rest of the tune was defaulted to whatever the Blitz uses stock. This seems to cap things around 1'06.3xx - I would suggest you try to get used to that setup first and then start tweaking. HSR is tricky because it doesn't seem like it has many turns so they must not be all that important but I think the esses and the very first turn on the reverse track are key to putting in good laps.

Starting to break the 1'05 barrier is quite impressive - you must have tuned it in quickly and have perfect braking/acceleration points.

A small improvement
Best lap
1'04.994

UGH!!!! You guys just keep pushing and pushing! :)

Cant quite get a grip on this car lol...you guys are way outta my league..how about some slower racers post some of their "fast" laps lol. Im floating around high 1'08.xxx. Hopefully i can figure out how to drive this car...and forgive my rooky...ness.. I cant find the option to tune the car, I have a good feeling that its something simple and Im gong to feel foolish lol.
Happy racing anyways.

Have you unlocked quick tune in single player yet? There is a spanner button to the right of the start race button.

No I don't think I have unlocked the tuning in single player. I'll have to look into that after I grab some lunch. Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully that will knock a second or two off my time.

Yea I've done the qualifier I'm just waiting for Sphinx to put me in a division. As it stands I'm just running the challenge for fun and to see where I'm at in comparison. If I dont get placed in a division before this weeks challenge ends then I'll just move on to next weeks.

Cool, now I see GTP_Juice under your Avatar. Nice to have you onboard mate. 👍

If you have driven the qualifier and submitted it to Sphinx ,
you can take part to these events even that you don't know your division yet.
Your submitted time will be like this in the results post.

Just as mine was in week 6 event results:
5---2'09.005---GTP_MadMax86---audi---* Not yet a division confirmed *

And what comes to tuning a car, you'll have to complete C , B and A Class events ,
to have the tuning option availeble. (atleast bronze in each event)

Most of all remember to have fun while driving

Ugh... I've always shied away from this car for hot lapping, since its a drift car and all.

Running a setup with R1 tyres and more power is interesting and I've managed this so far:

1'06.028

Anyone have a solid tune for this car...? the setup I'm running seems ok but on the limit it suddenly breaks away with no warning and no chance of recovery. Something a bit more forgiving under power would be good but that's a tall order with a car like this.

Oh ok I thin I have 2 or 3 moe events to run in A. Guess ill get crackin on that first then. Thanks for the info.

Okay, here is my tune for this weeks WRS. Have fun and let me know what you think of it. :) And be gentle with her. ;)

Interesting.

What tyres is that on? Because the PP for this is 770, and on my tune I had it on R1's with 85 weight and about max + horsepower.

Thanks, Lars.

1'05.847

Car feels a lot nicer too, fun to drive. I also turned off the ASM, following reading some threads on here. ABS on 1 is my only aid as for now.

Here's my first 25 lap/race tuning session results: 1'05.608

Small improvement tonight:

1'05.324

The key is the lineup - the tranny issue that bigracer mentioned before has nothing to do with the gearing - the hesitation occurs when the computer still has control of the car and from what I can deduce from tonight's session it is directly related to the car in front of you. If I had a VW GTI in front the acceleration off the line is smooth for the most part - if it is a Cervo or Diahatsu in front the tranny hesitates to keep from running into them. Best advice is to get a good lineup with smooth acceleration at the start and run your best. Good Luck!
