The game doesn’t have boundaries, it just has

Yeah, man.

I appreciate that you've come here, and that you're running our online races.

We've been here doing this for more than 15 years, and the boundary rules have been similar for that entire time frame.

We use Gran Turismo, and the game does have enforced boundaries in various sections, including licence tests. We use boundaries similar to those enforced on the game in similar circumstances. That's not going to change based on one opinion, and the 4 wheels/white line stuff is certainly not happening. Quite difficult to enforce and nearly pointles.

It's 5:30 am and I'm at the airport on the way home from a race. Yet I found this important enough to reply to.

Have a good day.

Which race?

Edit: Ah, Yes I was in Ferrari race, at the back.
Please reinform me, I didn’t fully see the chat.
Nothing in the chat about this. Was only saying that I like that you have decided to participate, while also letting you know we will not be changing the rules to suit your own perceptions/interpretations of boundary rules.

@Kevstah2004 If you watch Max Verstappens iRacing world record laps, particularly Brands Hatch formula 3, he uses all of the grassy run offs and more. Much more aggressively than @Mr P ( which as has been pointed out is totally legal )

A racing drivers Job is to push the boundaries given to the limit to gain the best time, if Ron hadn't done that he would just be giving away time for free? And anyway, pretty sure if you have two wheels on track its hardly creating your own course now

Hope you enjoy the combo dude, pretty sure with time you will wish the daily races had the same rules as WRS, plenty of times i have had to use horrible course cuts to stay with the top times. Much prefer watching my WRS replays back

Edit - just saw your above post, seriously how does sportsmanship come in to it? Its the same rules for everyone. Nothing to stop you doing the same, what was your approach at lago in the daily races? Happy to just let everyone cut T4 and gain a second on you? I didn't, would rather be on the same playing field than everyone else Its hardly a free for all "cut across the grass if its faster" is it? Two wheels are always on track minumum

I can't understand why this guy doesn't see 2 wheels on track as legal? I'd understand if we were talking about the TT events and weekly races you will defo see track limits pushed beyond whats acceptable... but WRS is set in stone 2 on 2 off as it always has been! I've been racing in the WRS for over 16 years now and this is the first time I have been used as an example of dirty driving :( and from a guy who has been here for a couple of events :boggled:

Hopefully I can get a pardon now and we can move on with the racing  Thanks to the few who tried to help Kevstah see the light 👍

He's new, he'll accept it (hopefully) or move on. @kevstash2004 it's a great crew here, super chill and open community 👍

After 30 odd laps Finally got a decent lap in, then I thought I didn’t go far enough after the lap because I didn’t see the time stamp pop up in the replay the first time. :banghead: It took me 5 more tries of replaying the replay but the time stamp does pop up for a a brief second before fading to black, I got a screen shot of it just in case it’s needed later in the week. Hopefully I can still beat this lap though. Great splits so far fellas! Fun Combo! :)

Max sucks imo, he pushes people off circuit, cause he’s crap at running alongside, I find him dangerous and giving youngsters the wrong idea that it’s acceptable to run your opponent off the track to gain position.

Saw a 21.8 t1 and went wide at the next corner, saw my first 15.6xx t2 and got the final corner totally wrong, fed the cat then kicked her, it worked

Each to their own with driver preferences, but my point wasn't about Max himself, or his racecraft. It was more to show that in comparison to other racing sims ( of which iRacing is a pretty serious one ) or leagues / competitions, WRS is actually fairly strict with track limits, and i mean that in a good way.

Anyway, i'll leave this now so as not to derail the thread.

Hopefully get to run this combo at the weekend, have fun everyone
