The future, particularly GT Sport are definitely needing to be factored into things, as well as PC support for Assetto Corsa, decisions decisions
If you want superb customer service and hassle free replacement if something goes wrong with it,go with Logitech.
That's been my personal experience 👍

But if playstation 5 gets released prepare to sell this wheel and buy a new one.

I had the G27 which I thought was a very decent set but I had to sell them because Logitech and Sony couldn't figure it out together. So Logitech kinda screwed me over big time and that's why I don't see myself buying another Logitech product anytime soon.

Currently I run the t300 alcantara with the t3pa's and I have to say I think it's worth the extra money. the alcantara feels freat built quality is a bit better and more robust. no clunky buttons also i like the fact that the ffb motor and belt are quiter than the g27 but then again the fan makes a bit more noise but still it's relatively quiter. Also i think the ffb is a bit more communicative without trying to rip your arm of. So will you be faster on a t300 then a g29? No! I think the g29 might still be the best bang for your buck and it's price under 300 european chips it's quite a good price. so that kidney can stay where it's at.

About reliabillity i don't think there's a big difference. I know a few people that problems with an logitech product and had to send it back and a few with t300's in the end I wouldn't take that into account when buying the wheel unles your considering a wheel that is notorious for braking down.
I know i had some cluncky buttons on my g27, I know danny had his g series replaced a couple of times. at the thrustmaster side i know tidgney, bart and a colleague of mine experienced some issues.

Here are some actual prices @8l23ub I think they can be found much cheaper though this was just a quick scout on ebay and a dutch site.

Please keep in mind when purchasing a wheel that sometimes it's cheaper to ship it in from another country in europe. I know a friend who got a particularly good deal by ordering from the italian ebay rather than the Dutch one.

Edit:
Here's an look at the setup changes I've been through. Starting from an $0 setup to now the gt300 alcantara + wheelstandpro v2

'Nother 18 laps in with BB 4/10. 5/10 was not good. Way to much brake understeer.

Could you just move the walls back by 5 inch's please

This should be my final attempt, although I now know where there's extra time was getting 35.2's then hitting something. who know's may give it another go before the deadline if I've time.

Submiited and accepted

Good luck guys hope to be back properly in a few weeks

Keen to see how much your keeping in reserve @Dragonwhisky
So far, the sectors I've posted are my best laps. To be brutal, I have no idea how I got them in the first place so it's pretty much down to dumb luck when I turn a better lap. My target is to run 18-20 laps a night and see where it takes me. A couple nights past I ran with the BB5/10 and couldn't get anywhere near my previous best. Almost didn't turn any laps at all last night. Only thing I might have in reserve is the fact that none of my best sectors are in my fastest lap. They rarely are though so....

@monkeywall I'm with you on the walls to a certain degree. I'd go much farther and ask them to just be removed altogether. If it weren't for the walls everywhere my red lap rate would be at least 25% less than it is currently. There's a bunch of walls you can rub and bump against and the game won't red lap you. Have to go back and watch every lap until the tap to get an accurate rate. :grumpy:

With my headphones, I just go for restart when I hear a "tap". Maybe it is not actually helping my 'rates', though.
Oh, restarting will help the red rate, since you're not finishing the red lap it couldn't really count towards any "rate", accurate or otherwise.

I'm usually of the mindset that I can't learn nuthin' if I ain't drivin'. If a lap goes red early to middle, I just use it as a training/experimentation tool. Try a few different things and see if I can catch or pass my rabbit. You might be surprised how often you can gain time once you let go of a bad sector and focus on what's ahead instead of what happened back there somewhere. Finding out where I can go faster is much more important than trying to get it right, every time.

Having a spreadsheet to track it all helps too.

A little comment too the logitech G27 , I also , was a bit angry too say it nice when I found out the G27 wouldnt work on the PS4 , but I found me a used G29 (very little used) and sold my G27 and ended up spending about 6-70 euro , but when I bought my used G29 , the game Pcars was part off my deal in the 6-70 euro`s .....
But the main reason for writing this little comment is that the day after I bought my G29 I found out that there has been made a gadget that makes the G27 work on the PS4 and it shouldnt be exspensive , like the first gadget`s were ....

Edit. forgot too say that there also is a gadget that makes the controller`s from the PS3 work on PS4 ......

Looks like you got a good deal. The thing is bleub hasn't got a wheel yet thats why id adviced him to not buy it now.

I do know about the devices. But i decided i wantrd native ui functionality and support on ps 4 so that meant new wheel for me.

First splits after 40 minutes or so. Unfortunately lost about .25 in the final sector due to nerves. The hairpin in sector 2 is a tricky one. I still haven't mastered it.
