Somehow I let @Koutch_Pro convince me to give this a try, and tonight I did...have to admit, he was totally right about the S-FR Race Concept being awesome fun to drive, it is indeed a hidden gem in the game.

So, the times...I used @shoenboggie 's tune, but with TCS at 2 (can't really feather the throttle properly with the DS4 yet), and after 160 kms of trying, this is what I got:

19.786
13.698

Bad time, but I don't know if I can do better. On the plus side, I got to give the Autobacs livery some open air time. And, yay first WRS :D

Welcome to the WRS, hope that was the first of many that we see you participating in and it sound like I owe Bas a beer for recruiting :). Any questions or queries then please ask 👍

Pleased to break into the sub 20's on T1 - hope to do similiar feat on T2 over weekend on same lap - more work to do on T3 but getting there.

Using @shoenboggie tune with two minor tweaks namely as @Nerazzurri suggested ARB of 9/10 and also a equal ride height of 88/88 mm, plus of course @EDK gearing.

Really, really like the car with tune and Combo - it just keeps giving !

Having a hard time getting a lap together, always seem to lose out in one of the sectors, but made up some more time on my overall lap, improved a bit in S1, lost a bit in S2 but nailed S3.
Exactly the same problem here. Lost magic sector 1, but got a great S2 and a solid S3 to improve at the line.

I've had a few 13.3s in T2 now but no idea how you D1 guys are into the 18s in T1!?
I wish I knew anymore, magic sector 1 has left me so it is probably on its way to one of you guys now! I suspect its one of those deals where we are just sliding the car that tiny perfect amount where the car rotates just a bit more allowing us to get back to the power sooner, but not so much that it's truly broken traction and losing time.
The term is Allen’s from another :gtpflag:
Hey hey hey, Spurgy here might be an alien but I maintain that us cybernetically enhanced folk struggle with being held back by this human hardware making it nearly impossible to compete with actual aliens. Trouble is we can't convert to full automaton to try and keep up, because we suddenly stop being interested in going fast around a track and have absolutely no sense of humour. We have to run this fine line between being more machine and faster, but less human and boring.

Edit - forgot things I meant to say earlier!

@Mires I absolutely love the back view of your car, you've placed those boot latches PERFECTLY for the blind mice bit, brilliant bit of work there.

I've run @shoenboggie 's tune and its really quite nice, the only place it has struggled for me was in the mid corner, and swapping toe from -0.04 to +0.04 somehow fixed that so it might be worth a go for some of you guys out there. Turns in very strongly, and super planted on the way out it's almost the perfect tune.
I'm still running my own weird tune that I'm still not happy with, but its getting me the times so can't complain too hard lol.

Well made the most Of my last chance after 12 hour work day. Did 2.5 hours worth but finally hit goal and best time. The key was using @shoenboggie setup, but slightly lower rear. That was the missing link. Here are my times.

19.384
13.566

Getting on a plane in 7 hours so good luck everyone, if I need to submit my video I don't get back to the 11th.

Lastly for @Nerazzurri

Apperently my mirror fell off because your no where to be found.:lol::cheers:

Looks like you’ll be taking this one @Never2fast1 as I just can’t seem to find those extra few hundredths that I need

Enjoy your holiday mate  Enjoy the sun while the rest of your team mates freeze here in The UK

86 laps today, but couldn't beat my previous best time...I have been driving with TCS on 1 instead of 2, so that was some good experience: large improvements on sector 1, but I lose it all on the other sectors, namely on Graham Hill and on the last corner. Need to work on that...still have tomorrow and later today to try and make a better lap.

I am falling in love with this tiny something of a car, however.

With this combo, I have found the quicker i can get to full throttle the faster I am. When coming down the hill to turn 3... I usually brake and downshift just before the curb on right. Turn in at the curb and trail brake to the apex. Then get back in the throttle.

Something else, @EDK told me this. When you get to turn 4, left don't brake. Lift enough to get the car turned in to the apex. Then accelerate through.

Edit: I haven't spent much time on this one tho. Been practicing for the big race tomorrow. But, maybe it will help you some.

Had to spent a lot of time this morning on bad laps while trying to learn to play with manual transmission but it is oh so great when in the end you get that rewarding result. I think T1 was pretty much the best I will get it, should be able to get 2-3 tenths from T2 time. As this is my first WRS and of course nobody is posting T3 times I am really eager to see where I will rank :).

EDIT (forgot the times):

Still trying to work on proper trail braking...my sensitivity on the left trigger ain't that good yet, but I can hopefully get better. Thanks for the advice though ;)

As for turn 4, I already do it without braking, I lift off then power through, then brake for the final corner. My problem with it is handling the throttle properly on the way out, without either being too slow or losing the rear for that tenth of a sec.

My theoretical best S2 time is nearly 0.2 faster than my best actual time (.790 S1 and .228 S2) but doing those times requires a stupid amount of precision in braking, turn in and powersliding on exit that they were pretty much a one off and 99% of laps I struggle to get near it. (I honestly haven't got a clue where the .790 came from, somehow got everything right and then messed up S2 with a 13.4 followed by a rubbish S3 )

Hm I am trying to make sure I know how to save the actual best lap since I feel like somewhere in the next couple hours I might hit the magic one. However I only have a 'save replay' and 'load ghost' option in the top left menu. The screenshot in the TS shows a 'save best lap replay' option. What should I do differently to get that option as well, anyone knows?

I know what you mean. It is a fine line accelerating through that turn. I wish I could say I have it figured out. Seems I got it right about every 3-4 laps.

Hoping I will have time to give this one another go before the deadline

If you set a lap and then leave straight away back to that screen a “save best lap replay” should appear as seen in the OP, if you haven’t just set a lap it won’t be there.

What I did is play a long session (like 25 laps), exited it and now I want to make sure that the best lap of that session is stored as a 'save best lap replay' via the screen. I am in the session still, I can go to replay and watch the full session for example, but in the top I do not have the best save lap replay button. Is my timing wrong? Should I do it right after my best lap and not after the session?

I’ve never had that happen to me, so don’t know. If you go and set another lap though to make the option appear it should still save your best lap since starting the TT, i.e. your best lap from the 25 lap run and not the extra lap you did after.

Choose the "replay" option on the top, that will open another menu which has the "save best lap" option.
