Both sons are horrible drivers and they see virtual driving as "Dad's thing". They'd rather spend time on FPS's or chasing girls.

I can't really blame them, putting myself in their shoes. :)

I'm already working on training my kids. My oldest that's 5 got a lesson on Apex's chicanes and slow in/fast out. He watches me when i run my laps and knows when i hit a wall or run off the track i failed.. he drives his little tikes car around the house with his brother and when he hits the wall or tables, he says he failed. Maybe the WRS will be around when he's old enough to compete

Hopefully tomorrow is my last work day and i can get some good laps in on friday before i head out for the blue catfish run on Saturday

Wow! Massive amount of :banghead: for me. Just had my second session and barely managed 5 clean laps. When you nail a corner this car feels really nice, but the amount of ways a lap can go wrong is just frustrating me beyond belief:

I'm happy with Sector 1 and Sector 3, but I might as well have done the middle sector in reverse...uuurgh :indiff:

Though a slight digression l’ll follow up. One of my sons are a soccer fan and for his 18th birthday we gave him a trip abroad to watch his favorite team (ManU). He is soon turning 20, so a few weeks back we decided to finally take the trip. He doesn’t bother with sim racing, but wanted to go to the go-cart track while we were in Manchester. So we did, and after some rounds of TT he managed to beat me by .005. After having spent so many hours on gran turismo, that’s quite frustrating.:irked: And it’s not that many years since I had him learning to drive. The only comfort is that he must have had a heck of a driving teacher. Further, I see that weight might be an issue as I always seems to get the cart that starts coughing when I depress the accelerator.:embarrassed::lol::lol::lol:
:idea:That’s why I also suggested to the track staff to actually have a handicapped LB with perhaps lap time / travelled distance x weight, which within physics are a term for actually performed work.

Wish I could work out where it is in S2 that I am losing all my time, it is incredibly frustrating!

Got another tenth but

I found most of the time in the loop corner. I brake much less now, double apex as @Gravitron said, let the car run wide almost to the outside, turn sharply and back to full throttle well before the second apex.

Ran without HUD almost the full session, so no idea about the usual, but the gained tenth+ was some work so the advantage is not obvious. Didn't mine for 0 top speed at least.

Are you saying you did the S2 in 30.4s?
Oh man, I'm in trouble and so is the rest of D3 :)

Yep, absolutely nailed it, but can't repeat the feat. However, realised grip reduction was on low, but doesn't seem to make a massive difference, as I've just beaten that time (don't worry, not S2) by 0.15s, and can still manage the odd 30.5 S2. New splits:

Nice.

BTW the Megane is trying to kill me in real life now as well. On my way to work this morning I realized I was using some of the techniques from the game. Thanks god my real life car is a bit more predictible.

Another 0.2s at the line. Finally getting to grips with this mental car. It likes to reassure you, "I've got all the grip you need," but then the tempestuous lady decides, "Not that much!" as she hurls you into a wall.
