Still trying to get the credits
Are there any nice quick ways in the main career mode?

Red Bull and Senna events are the only ones I know, but the Fan car and all the Senna ones are one time only because they're all time trials to some degree or another and it'd just be free credits.

Did a few of the vettel events - Got gold at the monza one but the suzuka one driving me MAD as we ran it all week and it feels so sticky and fast - too fast.
Have stopped now - 4am here - few hours will be back on it - working for oneself is a joy in this sort of situation - i can choose to work on GT6 . Sales keep going in the background :)))

I really need to get these credits but currently stuck unable to waiting for a delivery
:(
Is it a fun tt guys?

Alternative to actually doing seasonal races or quick match
for when I havent got time/cant be bothered to grind out races for credit:-

Light Car Company Rocket '07
Load it up to 650pp and purchase 'only' racing soft tyres (no pit stop for tyres or fuel required)
Set transmision/gearbox auto slider to around 211mph
head to Nurburgring 24 minute race in S-class career
hand the car keys to the B-Spec dude and instruct him to 'push the pace' from the outset and go do chores/work/ sleep etc.
28 minutes later he should win nine times out of ten and gain you 300 thousand (600 with the login multiplier) 👍

HAHAHAHAHHAH
Brilliant - i will do that - still - 30 mins for 600k is not great is it but i guess for doing nothing and getting other things done its worth it.
Thanks for the tip - made me laugh hard

...any didactic purpose here? tips? best practices? suggestions?

Turn 1, I am using the curb on track right as a reference, but braking probably half a car length before it. I trail brake to the apex and release brake right as I am getting to it. You normally can hit full throttle right there, but then you are managing the line with partial throttle through the next couple of corners.

I think people may have a tendency to think of the next series of right hand corners (double right) as one corner, but if you do this, you compromise the line. It's best to take it as a double apex, come out to the left exiting the first half, then lift to set up for the second half.

Key is that for the next corner to the right you ARE trying the keep the car track right on exit to set up for the next left hand corner. Goal should be to be on full throttle on entering this (left hand) corner, if you are not you have thrown away the wrong corner.

You get onto a deceptively long straight, in that the esses are very high speed, so you are trying to build up and maintain momentum through them. You should be able to manage those esses with lift only, the curbs are dangerous, but I think it's generally necessary to take some curb in order to maximize your speed. You want to set up all the way right and lift enough to get the car to left apex on the first one, then come back on throttle and manage as much throttle as you can trough the next right.

For the subsequent long left sweeper, it's important to get the car down in the groove for the early part of the turn. The track has a lot of natural camber that will allow you to carry this corner with more speed, use it. What I did notice with this car was that allowing it to drift out right while grabbing 5th as you get up in the top of the RPM's in 4th is generally a bit faster. Don't just let it hang out near redline in 4th until the crest of the hill.

Once over the crest, I set up left but use the rumble strip that's track right for my brake marker. The end of the rumble is a good reference point, you may need to brake a bit before it. This is one of only 2 full braking zones on the lap, you again want to trail brake down to the first (right) apex.

The last couple of turns are quite important to the lap. For the quad apex left hander, the important apexes to hit are the first and the last. You can get away with a lot in between. You should be able to manage all of this with lift only, no brake needed. But get to that last apex at the right time with the right speed. If you carry a bit too much or hit the apex too early, you will smack that exit curb and spin the car into the inside concrete wall. Every. Time. ;)

Hope that helps. 👍

@DDiamond yes you can! Beyond "positive" advices, "negative" ones are welcome.
For instance:
  1. How much time/laps per session? (15/30 min every two days...usually)
  2. Do you play with a wheel/ds3? (DS3/Automatic 99% - lack of time and space)
  3. Automatic/Manual (DS3/Automatic 99% - lack of time and space)
  4. Which turns are critical for you? (positioning the car for turn 2 - keep the inside or outside in turn 6)
  5. Are you confident about your breaking/turning points? No doubts? (turn 7 it's my enemy!)
  6. You go "slow in/fast out" or just drive like crazy a 38.1 million dollar car for a couple of tenths? (see answer 1...)
P.S.
Would'n it be nice to have a Track101 Section in the forum to discuss about tracks, breaking/turning points, caveats and so on?

Good luck everybody

Oops! Thank you @EDK .
Did not see your reply...I was trying to write and not to be fired (work hours down here...)

That's exactly what I, and probably someone else (I hope) was missing!

No problem. If you are considering turn 7 to be the heavy braking right hand turn going into the final complex, see my note in my writeup about my braking reference. Without that, it does feel a bit like no man's land.
