We may have an issue with the 1.07 update - they've enabled tire wear/fuel consumption in the time trials.

If memory serves, we had those options turned off in GT5.

Edit - there's also an option for either a final-corner start (which has always been the case until now) or a pit start in time trials, though I don't see that as an issue if tire wear/fuel consumption is turned off.

Edit 2 - They're online changes only, so disregard.

True. We're going to need a ruling from you guys on the new options pretty quick before everybody downloads the hefty update and the immediate hotfix and heads back to Daytona.

You online racers might be interested in the new "endurance race" option. Could that be the fix for the tire bug that has plagued GT6 since the beginning?

Edit 1 - So far from the 1.07 thread, one person claims a significant time boost at Brands Hatch, and it appears the tire bug in races requiring a pit stop has been fixed. I'm the wrong person to ask about physics changes - I'm not Mr. Consistent. I didn't see anything conclusive on online vs offline settings.

Edit 2 - Disregard what I said about tire/fuel settings (and start settings) in offline/arcade mode. As Lucas said, they're online changes only.

Do grab a Snickers before starting the update. While the time estimator is highly inaccurate, it will take about 20 minutes after the big download is complete to install it, and you will need to download the stealth update to get the Academy back.

That's tarmac, and since this isn't one of the two Willow Springs tracks, the white line means nothing.
