As for Suzuka it always struck me as a scary track for bikes, T1, the degners, 130R..... certainly looks spectacular watching the Suzuka endurance race each year.
For bikes, runoff at any track is the problem. Suzuka has some bad corners.
Daijiro Kato was killed in the Casino Triangle after crashing in 130R in 2003. That was the beginning of the end for MotoGP at Suzuka. Stopped in 2007 ISTR.
In the US at least, there are really not that many safe motorcycle tracks. Almost all have at least one bad section. Much worse when I started Roadracing in 1991.
